With Hassenhaur at center we suddenly have an interior run game. Move Green to guard please.

Green has been a disaster. Hassenauer isn’t even average but he made a difference tonight

Why wasn't Green playing? Saw him dressed at the end but I must have missed something.

i've said it before, but i'd like to see what green can do at guard before writing him off. he has a motor, not everyone is cut out for center.. not to mention he is learning to play it on the fly, but he's still a natural guard.

Add DeCastro as well and their initial plan for the OLine is completely up in smoke

I dont get it with dotson and Banner. One of u guys have to explain me what went wrong with them. I really thought they would improve very strong an would be our best OL players. I still believe they have alot upside potential. As i said, i dont get it

BTW, i liked they OL play tonight. One of their best performance of season i think

Somebody went and told Tomlin how to coach. He was amazed at the powers he had and decided to make a change.

There’s nothing wrong with Dotson other than the fact he’s coming off an injury. Banner I really don’t know.

How many actual starts does Banner have in his whole pro career? A dozen - maybe..? Not sure why people ever thought he was supposed to be much of anything. He always seemed like a deep depth kind of player. Just because he was slated to start doesn’t me he really should have. If he didn’t blow out his knee last year in the first game he just have easily could have been a bust at RT by mid season.

Banner might be on the Dan McCullers break glass in case of emergency plan.

Felt like a Browns team that quit on the season to me. Did not look at way at first but I quickly caught on midway in the First. This highlights yet another stark difference between the Steelers and Browns.

The Steelers have shown that, no matter how tough times are, they will fight to the end; time and time again. The Browns on the other hand, have never shown this since their reintroduction back in 1999.

Supposedly he was outstanding in camp during the 2020 preseason and was the best lineman there. That said, it was very curious to give him a $10m two year deal coming off an injury. He is almost certainly going to need to be cut now.

I dont think he has a dozen starts, in fact I think the 2020 opened against NYG where he blew out his knee was his first start, and he hasn’t started one since.

Chuks has actually done ok at RT and is more likely to be brought back than Banner IMO

Banner wasn´t nfl caliber in his first years. But he worked his ass of and get´s better and better. I think he actually has become starting nfl caliber. But u are rigtht he doesn´t proof it until now.

maybe your right and it depends all on the injurys. But dotson got, I think as the only one, already in the camp public criticism from the coaches. i don't know the stats, but was he always a safe starter when he was fit? To my knowledge, Banner was also mostly healthy and had no major injuries. Anyway, i can ́t see both of them returning next season.

Green was drafted as a project center. He played guard in college, but someone felt he could be converted to center because he had experienced playing center in junior high. (Sarcasm, he played a few games at center in college, but was primary a guard) I’m not sure why we often draft project plans and wonder why they didn’t pan out.

I agree with those who say move Green to guard. Get the best true Center available in round 2 or 3 or Free Agency.... not someone who played mostly guard and occasionally center. Steelers need the BEST 3-4 DE in round 1.... or ILB, best player available. Steelers need a CB, too... but the "NFL ready on Game 1" CBs will be long gone before they pick.
