That was the most pathetic effort I have ever seen from a Steeler defense. They just did not care. Pro bowl like says it all. If any other person but Tomlin was head coach….. they would have been fired instantly.

 

Particularly because they looked they didn't want to be there in the first half and it shouldn't take a half time speech to get players motivated. Now all the veteran players are circling the wagons to defend Tomlin as usual. Don't want to rock the boat.

 

Tomlin says that first half starts “don’t define the team” and he’s actually right.

The second half too little too late efforts do.

The fool has never heard of 60 minute football. He wants dumpster fire close games for 3+ quarters and crosses his fingers for a dirty luck win. That gets you .500 and bounced by real teams in the playoffs. Worst coaching philosophy I’ve ever heard.

In all the playoff losses in the last 8 years the end of the first quarter we were out scored 77-7 per Steelers Depot Alex Kazora.

 

Tomlin must be an all time top 5 coach in having done less with the amount of talent he has been provided. One of the most overrated coaches in the history of the nfl. He won his first SB with Cowher's players and coaches. It's been a steady slip down hill even with a franchise QB and the best defensive player in the nfl. He is the Karen Bass of the nfl.
