It'll be Ben-Rudolph-Haskins. If Haskins completely steps on his d**k, then they'll either toss him on the PS or cut him and keep Dobbs as the third. The caveat here is Haskins makes the team as a third stringer if he shows noticeable improvement. I don't see any scenario aside from a season ending injury to Rudolph where Haskins is the number one back up to start the season. If he does, fans better pray Ben stays healthy. Haskins is not close to being a back-up let alone a starter in the NFL. Actually, neither is Dobbs.

Apparently there must have been an interview with Haskins, lot of quotes today. Say what you want about Tomlin, one of his strengths is forging relationships with men, this is the right approach with Haskins, IMO. The talent is there, as Alex Smith said, he’s crazy talented, it’s him being surrounded by good people is what he needs to get the best out of him.

More than likely neither is Mason.

That last quote is troubling. He was drafted in the first round, of course he was wanted. He needs to own his failures.

Actually that was one of the problems in Washington, Snyder wanted him, the coaches didn’t. You know what it’s like when coaches get saddled with players they don’t want.

    Farve wasn't wanted by Glanville.

Yeah, how'd that work out for Adam Gase? I mean, as a coach, he stunk. But he did not want Lev Bell.

the issue I have is that they made him the starter in training camp with little to no competition, because of that Rivera was on board, there is an article recently where he regrets this decision, but the question remains if he was against the pick yet he was on board with Haskins as starter from training camp w no competition, was he intentionally trying to Sabotage Snyder, that wld be pretty unprecendented brilliance from Rivera to take away Snyders power in the organization, but who knows, the important thing is that Haskins seems to be in a better place and at the very least w out the power dramas that exist in Washington because of problematic ownership over there

That is a solid point especially considering how many batted balls Ben had last season, a receivers ability to adjust to those throws is important. However if I was a coach I'd like to see accuracy on throws from my QB'S especially on timing routes and precision throws like a fade.

What about Bell v.s. Andy R.
Doesn't seem like Andy wanted him after he got him:shrug:

Yes, they have drills for moving targets. That trash can drill you are supposed to hit it. Same as throwing a football through a tire.

The difference being Favre never had the opportunity to be a bust. Glanville just refused to play him. Haskins played quite a bit in Washington.

Snyder owns the team. Nobody can take away his power in the organization.

My point is that after the Haskins debacle, Snyder might simmer on arbitrary draft picking, giving Rivera the leverage he wants as far as draft choices and direction of the team

That isn't what you wrote. Also, the theory doesn't make sense. Snyder is going to be Snyder. He's not going to change because Haskins failed in Washington. More likely, he will just blame Rivera.

What you wrote was that he was trying to make Snyder lose power in the organization. Snyder is the owner. Owners don't lose power in an organization due to a bad decision. If they did, Snyder would have been reduced to getting coffee for people who actually know how to run a team long ago.

Coaches can win a power struggle with a GM, but not an owner.

If You remember back in the day Kordell was said 2 be the best at the trashcan throw. Yet he couldn't hit a Wr in stride for nothing.

Going to disagree with you on this one here.I think Kordell gets a bum rap, think he was better than people give him credit for.

He had a lot of things working against him and still had a 13 win season, guess his targets were standing still a lot! :smiley1:
