I would have to think NOD is one of the most hated players in Steelers history. Has Bell Reached the point where we hate him more than Neil? Is he as hated as Mike Wallace? Legattette Blount?

I pretty much hated Duce Staley also. I'm sure if he wasn't so athletic that he would had a very successful career as a lifetime welfare recipient.

I can't think of another Steeler I have wanted off the team as bad as Bell. Kris Brown comes to mind. What a terrible kicker.

I think watching Rod Woodson leave was hard. Steelers shouldn’t have let him leave.

But, they way the whole situation went down, Bell is heading to uncharted waters of Steelers nation hate.

I never hated Kordell. I always pulled for the guy. Freak athlete, just didn't have the accuracy or ability to read defenses to be an NFL QB.

Eric Green ruffled some feathers back in the day. Suspended for 6 games, held out twice and got the contract he wanted with the Dolphins. The money is bigger now but Bell's situation is a bit similar.

Huh? Duce was harmless when he was here and left without much fanfare.

Bell is now tweeting that nobody appreciates him. Dude has zero clue what humility is and if he did he would brag about it.

I was overly optimistic when they got Staley. My friend said he was going to be a bust right away. I told him that it was what the Steelers exactly needed at the time.
My friend was right and I ended up watching somebody basically collect free money.

He put up maybe average stats but no way a bust. There are NFL players who did far less and collected what you call "free" money.

Unless Bell hands the ball to the other team, TWICE, in the SB, He'll never approach the status of He-who-shall-remain-nameless!

I never hated NOD. He's not the first athlete to have a bad SB. Hell, Ben was pretty bad against Seattle, they were just fortunate Seattle was no where near as good as Dallas was.

Bell will top the list for me. He turned his back on the team and at a time when they need to maximize Bens last years.

    Selfish prick.

To be fair, it can be argued that Andre Hastings and Corey Holliday contributed to those INTs.

good question, think i need a year or two for the implications to settle since the story isn't over. As for a one game performance, yes NOD had a very terrible one in a very big spotlight. But LB26 was a beast when playing. Kinda different for me, maybe that's just my take.

    :confused1:

Duce Staley tore it up during the first half of '04. He was great until he got hurt. Good thing we had the Bus as backup.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND......

no peep from bell. silence. No "good job" or "atta boy steelers"

nada, zip, zilch. Doesn't give a sh*t about this team, never has. Doesn't like Pittsburgh where his rap career won't take off. I bet he goes to a big city NY,LA

Wasn't he liking posts about the Steelers struggling against Kansas City on Instagram? He cares. He is actively rooting against the Steelers right now.

He is still way better than JC but I don't care. Rather have the JC's on this team

Also had a new oc and scheme every year. If he had an oc that utilized his athletic ability as opposed to trying to make him something he wasn’t his career would have been far different. People can hate on him all they want, but he was electric with the ball in his hands.

You just know that part of him, if not all of him was enjoying them losing. "See, they need me, can't win without me. Pay the man!"

I hope he does - and realizes pretty quickly what a ruthless (and unappreciative) media and fanbase is REALLY like.
