He's probably the least of our problems. That 17 yard punt was horrible though.

Surely there has to be someone out there that could
    Punt better than this guy.

I agree in that he's a punter. He is a poster child for accountability around here though. We're all good with letting a new guy learn but this is bad. There have to be several guys on the street better than him.

yes me, but I'm too skinny to fit the profile Tomlin wants for a punter. I need to become fat first.

Not questioning that but should be the easiest to replace.

According to NFL stats he's very average. Maybe a bit inconsistent also.

I think he may just need a special teams coach

Its pretty easy to find a punter and they havent replaced him yet. They tend to do the opposite of what fans think so he'll prob be around. Whenever it was talked about previously tomlin praised his holding skills on fgs

We have one of the best ST coaches in the NFL, unfortunately he doesn't have much to work with talent wise.

Harvin can make great kicks, but he seems incapable of being consistent. We need to find someone else.

It seems like he can't accurately pin punts to the sidelines. He's got a big leg but no finesse or directional ability.

With an offense like ours, we need a veteran punter that can atleast be average to above average because we are going to punt alot.

Harvin definitely isn't the best option, but our team is loyal to a fault when it comes to both players and coaches.

If he continues to gain weight I imagine he’ll just get worse. I’ve never been a Harvin fan because he’s ALWAYS lacked consistency.

Not sure what the organization sees in him, especially when you see so many other teams punt the ball deep and accurately.

He did it all game against Atlanta.

He's being asked to angle not go for distance. The 17 yarder was absolutely inexcusable though. Bad snap and all, he should be able to handle a bad snap and get something decent off!

All game vs Atlanta? He punted twice, with the 1st punt not happening until the 4th qtr.

He's a lot during his career. I'm not sure why we aren't playing to his strengths because it's clear he can't angle punts. Or cut the guy for a punter that can play in line with the game plan.

It's very frustrating how we don't hold guys accountable to their performance on field.

Berry didn't have a huge leg, but he was consistent. Harvin is all over the place. I'd rather have a guy that hits the ball consistently, even if his net is middle of the road. They've had crappy luck with drafting their last couple of punters. Daniel Sepulveda was excellent but couldn't stay healthy. I think he bad knees. I know the team has more pressing worries but surely, they can sign an undrafted FA or a vet FA that's better than he is.

The Steelers had a season recently and they failed to pickup a live football on a kickoff twice. The ST players didn’t understand the rules. If he was a great coach that would have never happened. If he was a mediocre coach it would not have happened twice. If he deserves to be fired it happens twice. I knew this rule when I was 6.
