Where is the Goodell sucks emoticon?

If the Steelers don't fight this in the media or internally I will be very disappointed in them and they deserve the negative press.

Somebody needs to edit together and publish to ESPN and other sports networks online and in cable all the inconsistencies in hits that weren't called or fined. This is big news!

Steelers LB James Harrison plans to appeal his one-game suspension.

James Harrison can't practice or be at Steelers facility this week. He has 3 days to appeal, and an expedited hearing and decision would take place this week in advance of the weekend's games. Appeals are heard and decided on rotating basis by either Art Shell or Ted Cottrell.

I posted earlier on another thread that no one will convince me that Harrison's comments about Goodell last spring aren't a factor in this decision. Goodell is a petty, vindictive little man who has been waiting for the chance to get even with Harrison, since he could take no action during the lockout.

What bothers me is that Goodell is effecting the outcome of a critical game -- just as he did last year when he suspended Ben for a fourth game to keep him out against the Ravens.

I wonder if there is any way the appeal process can push the suspension back a week?

I believe that James will play out the rest of this season and then walk away from the sport that is fast becoming flag football.
Rooneys should stand behind his appeal at all costs.

What the word on Woodley? We can win without one starting OLB, but not both...

I agree completely. This wasn't about the hit; this was about James.

    And Goodell strikes again.

As a Steeler fan, it is hereby your DUTY that should you ever come within 20 feet of Roger Goodell: kick him square in the boys. Hard.

So let me just get this straight.
Jerome Simpson of the Bengals gets 8 1/2 lbs of illegal substances from Northern California mailed to his house in Northern Kentucky and not a single game suspension but James tackles a QB running outside of the pocket and will miss a game?

    ROGER GOODDELL is a FARCE.

Just proves Goodell is a vindictive little weasel. JH played within the new sissy rules for 14 weeks and first slip up, BAM, suspension. In fact he hasn't been fined since week 10 of last season. You, Mr. Goodell are the worst thing to ever hapen to the NFL

Apparently Goodell doesn't think 14 weeks of clean play is anything special.

Please do. Or off a cliff, out of a plane, off a boat at high seas... whatever.

Because he is an idiot that doesn't understand football is a contact sport. Or actualy, as Todd Christensen once said; "Hockey is a contact sport, football is a collision sport"

Someone should just make a feint at Goodell that they are about to hit him. When his head dips as he tries to prepare for impact, point it out, show him the tape, etc.

Then kick him in the boys. Hard.
