I love it! :roflmao: I don't know if he's telling the truth but I still love it...

Benz: James, are you aware of the story about the lawsuit mentioning your name ... and if so, what's your reaction to it?
Harrison: I'm not aware of it.
Benz: Ken Stabler and some of the other former pro football players in a concussion suit referenced you as a guy that was a repeat offender and maybe should be out of the game. When you hear former players say that about you --
Harrison: Who is -- Ken who?
    Benz: Ken Stabler.
    Harrison: Who is that?
    Benz: Former Raiders quarterback.
Harrison: Never heard of him. His opinion doesn't matter to me.

Funny stuff. I believe he was being quite serious, too.

    That's funny Ray.
My brother (big Raider fan) used to work at Kinactai (sp.) in Northern California. It used to be a venue for athletes and entertainers. Well, my brother met Stabler and was his personal "babysitter" to make sure he made the charity golf event. My brother said Stabler told him that he had stopped drinking, then proceeded to down to bottles of wine. Apparently Stabler didn't consider wine to be alcohol. My brother did say however that Stabler was a nice guy. Then again he's a Raider fan, what does he know?

Why is everyone piling on Stabler?

He's just one of a number of explayers involved in the suit.

And Im sure he's totally uninvolved in the specific arguments of the lawsuit. I seriously doubt that he had any input into the whole 'repeat offenders who have not been banned' argument.

Bobby Biz did you read the link provided by Ray D?
Oh BTW, I dislike all of the "old" Raiders. Especially Stabler, Villapiano, Atkinson, Tatum, Branch, Hendricks, Upshaw, Shell, Guy... Yep even the punter. I could go on..

I can stomach Villapiano. He's hilarious on NFL Top Ten. And in regards to The Immaculate Reception, he's said something to the effect of: "It's one of those moments I'm now proud to be a part of. The play's outcome still bothers me to this day. But hey, we still get to talk about it all these years later. How great is that?"

Stabler is such a hypocrite. why doesn't he talk about Jack Tatum and George Atkinson trying to smash Lynn Swann's brain? He should not be talking about JH. Look what Tatum did to Stingley.

Its refreshing to hear honesty instead of all the politically correct responses from players these days.

One thing is for sure, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Silverback was in Gooddell's office.

He's got the same attitude that Lambert used to have. Something that is dreadfully missing from many players these days.

I agree. I loved it when these guys would be drooling, teeth missing, blood on their uniforms, bones broken through the skin, heads lying on the ground and still get up after each play. I understand some of these guys want to blame the league for their conditions now, however, each and every one of them knew what they were getting into when they signed the contract to play. It was no mystery! How many of those former players used substances to improve their game or have conditions that have just come natural to them through age? I'm not saying I know the answer but I am posing the question. Seems to me that a lot of these guys were never taught to manage their money and seem to be looking for a second payday from the league. Again, I'm not saying all of them or that all of their claims are bogus but the questions are there.
