I don't wish anyone who leaves the Black and Gold the best. I hope they crash and burn. And most do.

James has been a fav of mine, reminicent of the great Greg Lloyd. Came from cut after cut to getting an opportunity. And the Steelers took care of him.

Now the latest report is he wants to exact revenge against the Steelers and Crows for cutting him. Revenge? The Steelers gave him his fame when no one else wanted him.

And so James was asked to take a paycut, and he would still be getting payed well. So, James and his agent decided this was unacceptable. So both sides parted ways.

Now James is grabbing at straws for a job. The Bungles. Please.

You guys are acting like we'll be going up against the Silverback in the prime of his career. It's not! We're talking about a 35 year old linebacker who's had significant knee and back problems over the last couple of years. This isn't the guy that won the Super Bowl for us a few years back. The Bengals are going to get burned on this deal and JH will be a NON-FACTOR against us in 2013.

JH will find out how old he is when he is up against the young (we want to play and the money will come crew) call our new vastly improved O line. If he wants revenge that's his problem, he probably will put a few plays together for small contract plus incentives. It will be strange to see if he wants to come back after he's cut and sign a one day contract with the Steelers

Lebeau probably knows James better than James, as in what James has left in the tank and how to stop him. Just keep james on the outside, his speed isn't there anymore to get around anyone.

After thinking about all my comments,I have come to this conclusion. I believe that Steeler nation is only upset with James is because he is He ll bend on staying in the AFC North and extracting some kind of revenge. The steelers is the team that gave James his shot even after we cut him along with the Ravens. Steeler nation believed in him and now because he miscalculated the front office he is mad. Deep down I wish James a good life even with another team but not in the AFC North which he has every right to play here.
Either way Good Luck James and I hope you find some inner peace.

Apparently things (negotiations) aren't looking good with the Bengals.

He's ripe for the pickin now. He'll come back mad at the world. I wish they never said the door for his return was closed. They might be able to get him for far less then the paycut offer.

Too much pride is a bad thing, apparently James is having a hard time coming to grips with his worth.

Do you think they shot down James return to eliminate any leverage he might of had if we said we were willing to take him back, thus driving his market value even further down. What do you guys think the percentage of him coming back with his tail tucked? I'm having a hard time letting him go, he was probably the last intimidator we had. He is a Steeler and here is where he belongs.

well we cut him at 6M i believe.. and supposedly we offered him a deal with a 30%pay cut.. so that means if you belive the reports (which i dont) we offered him 4.2M and he left.. so now that we have about 700,000 of cap space how do you think we can sign him unless you knowsomething i dont know (which is very possible as i know less about cap space than my dog...? but i would think if he came to us and said i wil take 701,000 we dont have the money ... unless since he was with us we can get his cap number down... love ot have him as a backup or part time player ... but i think we have moved on especially with is trying ot sign with the ravens or bengals so he can play us twice a year..

How can you come to this conclusion?

He's only had serious interest from 2 teams and they are both in the AFCN. What is he supposed to say? "Although no one else is interested in my services, sorry Bengals and Ravens I cannot even talk to you because I don't want to piss off the Steelers fan base."

Unless talking to the only 2 teams that are interested is being 'hell bent.'

    Seriously.

No one is interested and he's playing hard ball with the only one that is?

    Its Ludacris I tell ya.

Harrison is not done. He will land a contract and he will be a starter somewhere. When he shows up, any competition at OLB will be will be a non factor. It will probably be like the DE from fast times at Ridgemont high after Spicoli and his little brother totalled his Trans Am.
It seems every team is trying their best to low ball him cause of possibly nagging back issues but his phone will be ringing off the hook once all the camps start and players start falling. It will probably cost him alot at that point but I think he will definitely have more in the tank than many people are speculating at right now.

Naa, it's not just James this is happening too, players younger then JH and without injury concerns are signing low contracts too, it's just the market. Steelers shoot straight from the hip, I believe they told him that because they decided to move on, time to see what Worilds can do.

I don't think there is any doubt that Harrison prefers to land in the North but even more important to him than that is to make the salary he thinks he deserves. I guess he has a dollar amount that he won't go below and probably feels he will just retire rather then compromise his values. We'll see if he changes his mind when the season nears and bodies start going down, somebody will call him.

I think BlastFurnace nailed it right here...
He would PREFER to play in the AFC North(His comfort level... he already has his opponents well scouted, including, potentially, US:eek:), but the money is more importasnt to him right now...
When he realizes he isn`t gonna get what he wants, moneywise, he will still, want to play at least one season, ANYWHERE, just to prove to everyone, that he isn`t washed up.
And I completely believe he will, either after the draft, or after an injury in someone`s camp...
I still wish we could have him, but I understand why not, and I don`t want Woriilds to suffer an injury, that would lead us to come calling James back...
I wish him the best. I just really hope it ain`t in our division.
As someone posted previously, "He was the last bit of "NASTY", we had left, and he belongs here"...
Oh well, things don`t always work out the way I want..
    GO STEELERS!!!
