Glad you made it too Diamond. Wish your buddy was still with us. I know what you mean about Agent Orange. I retired in 1996, fought the VA till Jan 2012 and finally they admitted my heart was Agent Orange related. We worked with 2/9 a lot.

I worked with a woman who had these spots on her and we were really good friends and one day she lifted up her shirt and showed me her belly and it had these little spots on it and she said "look at this!" and I asked her what it was and she said that it was some kind of skin disorder that she got from her dad who was exposed to Agent Orange in Nam. Also I've went to church for a long time with a guy that says his diabetes was a result of exposure to Agent Orange as well. Wasn't Agent Orange really meant as a chemical that would destroy their crops?

Coastal... I was in the Gulf from 90 until 91. My unit was the first infantry unit on the ground. When we attacked we were the tip of the spear into Iraq. My unit cleared out the bunkers and buildings and went up against the Republican Guard. Besides the fighting, when it was over we were tasked with disposing of the ammunition dumps, unfortunately, we were not advised that some of the dumps contained chemical weapons and were exposed. I have yet to hear anyone acknowledge that this is truly the case but after me and two other people all had children with heart defects I'm not sure how it can be denied. Anyhow, that is a whole other story. Thank you for your service and sacrifices!
