IDK about you guys, but traditional Easter dinner pales in comparison to other holidays. I grew up having turkey on Thanksgiving and standing rib roast on x miss. I enjoy both of those dinners more than a ham, although I enjoy leftover ham in sammies. Mmmm, mmmmm good.

For about 50 years my family did standing rib roast on Christmas. No more, but thanks for bringing a fond memory back.

    Happy Easter one and all.

home made raviolis. leg of lamb. shrimp. home made wedding soup. deviled eggs. cheese baked with walnuts in a pastry warm, to spread on apple slices. home made pies, cookies, nut rolls. fresh baked bread. fresh fruit ( strawberries, blackberries, white grapes and red grapes). several bottles of vino. I am probably forgetting something. Grandma passed on fri at 92 and family that I haven't seen all together in years in for the funeral, so we made it a big spread. sad time but good time all in all.

Sorry about Grams. But your spread sounds like the best Easter food ever. Ravs, wedding soup et al sound delish.

We had leg of lamb and potato salad at my mother and father-in-law's house, and my wife made the most amazing chocolate peanut butter cheesecake I've ever tasted.

Dude Easter food is the best! I mean a WHOLE BUNNY MADE OF CHOCOLATE!? Sign me up! LOL! I'm sure it comes to no surprise to all my boys and girls on here that this day means everything to me. Happy Easter to all and I'm thankful for this day.

Sorry to hear about that mac. I know you've sorta had a pretty downer year because didn't you just lose your mom a few months ago as well? 92 is a really long life though. I've had very few people in my family make it that long. Out of curiosity, was she a Steelers fan?

That further explains why Easter food isn't as high on the tree with me as with others: not a huge chocolate fan like most others. As a matter of fact, I was such an odd ball that I actually enjoyed the hard boiled eggs more than the chocolate. And my Easter bunny? White chocolate.

Yep, goes a little deeper than Hugh Hefner chasing bunnies around with big eggs, doesn't it. :lolol:

    Happy Resurrection Day, gang!
