    I walked passed Bradshaw going into a Pitt Panther game in 1970, his rookie year. He was standing there with his head down and looking as glum as a person could. He was going through a terrible rookie season and some of the fans were letting him have it. I felt bad for him because you could tell he was hurt. Thank goodness Chuck Noll had patience with him and stuck by him when things were tough or those first 4 Lombardi's might not have happened.

    Im.not sure many guys today would get that chance..at least with the same team..but even recover from it. That was a brutal time, even being benched in 74 for Joe Gilliam, then coming back. Guy had to be tough.
