It's posts like this where I wish this message board had a sad react. None of the other ones seem appropriate. What an absolute clownshow and trainwreck this team has become.

As an aside, I bet Matt Canada is at home now breathing a sigh of relief that he doesn't have to be associated with that dumpster fire any longer. His life is probably much more peaceful now that he isn't being scapegoated for literally everything.

Tomlin is 0-6-1 in his last 7 starts against first time head coaches.
Add that one to the hall of shame

At least for another 3 weeks. This team will not win another game this year nor should they.

Too soon for him to be breathing a sigh of relief. Now if its still the same ol chit next season then he can but there is really no doubt his offense was atrocious, it was broken down and analyzed repeatedly highlighting all it’s faults.

New OC next season and very well may need a new QB but they will run it back with Kenny one more year.

I'm sure that's historically bad too, along with Pickett's 1.9% touchdown ratio. This team is a disaster in almost every way

To lazy to look it up, but wonder how many back up or first year QB's were in that grouping. Nothing like giving Baily Zappe a career quarter, lol/

Bailey Zappe hadn't thrown a TD pass all season and then he lit our defense up with 3 TD's in the games first 20 minutes.

Tomlin is the easy target but I stated this in another post on fb:

I'm not sure how you motivate players that make millions of dollars. You're sitting in the driver's seat at 7-4 with an opportunity to potentially be top seed in a wide open conference with one of the easiest schedules left to play and you lose to two 2-10 teams in a row at home?? Why do you need to be motivated for something like that when its completely within your control? Where does pride and accountability of the player come in at??

This team virtually has no leadership in the locker room especially on the offensive side of the ball. You could default to the person who gets paid the most on the offensive side of the ball to lead that group, but that would mean Diontae Johnson who is far from a leader. This is where a lot of the issues lie as to why this team, especially offensively, never seems to be able to get over the hump. Add to the fact that this team does not rally behind any of their Qbs ...especially Trubisky and Rudolph.

After the one decent showing after Canada was fired, I read a report that said we were the team no one wanted to face in the play offs, lol. This morning a commentator said no one feared this team. For all who are still looking at play off possibility, have you really looked at how this team has played this year?? Yes the D has stepped up at times, but in nearly every game this team has been ugly, and as much as I want to see them succeed, sometimes you really have to hit bottom before the blinders come off. This is not a plug and player away, and while we do have some decency on the foundation, from the Top down we need a true overhaul.

Maybe some other head coach will be suckered into hiring him. Canada's negative influence is still very much in effect.

I won't throw flame at MT for everything, the team is battered, but the motivation of the players does not start right before a game. There is something drastically wrong with the entire culture here. A part of it may be just this generation, IDK, but right now (and for several seasons) there just does not seem to be a true home field pride, nor advantage. Watching some games from 3 rivers, you knew this was our home. Maybe winning some SB's and going to the play offs for nearly a decade straight does that, but something is really missing.

Yep. As I've said before, they can't introduce an entirely new playbook mid-season.

The playbook is so small from Canada's time that the Steelers are hamstrung.

Yeah, I keep seeing people post stuff like Tomlin is not a good motivator or discipliner. I have no idea if he's a good motivator or discipliner, or not, and neither does anyone else since they're not in the locker room or around him 24/7. I just know talking to these players can only do so much I dont care what anybody says. I just know some things you don't need to tell me to do if I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Its not like these guys were sitting on the outside looking in. I can even understand if they started off 7-0 and then lost 4 in a row. I can see confidence dwindling in that situation even going against 2 2-10 teams, but thats not what it was. If you tell me I can get $100000 if I maintain a 3.5 GPA and I'm currently maintaining a 3.5, how in the world do I end up flunking the equivalent of two open book tests back to back???!!

MANY of other teams seem to do JUST FINE. It is a steeler culture problem and that is a TOMLIN problem.

Nine other teams seem to do fine Mikey....that's less than a 1/3rd of the league and you know what every single one of those teams have in common?? They don't have crappy QB play behind center and they have leaders in the locker room . Now tell me where the lie at??
