Preparing to enshrine a murderer. Well, they've never kicked OJ out, so I guess this is par for the course.

Are you talking about Ray lewis? He was never convicted of murder, and even if he was, does that have any bearing on his play on the field? He should be in the HOF, as should OJ. They were both great players and their actions off the field have nothing to do with their play on the field

Don't think I entirely agree with that sentiment. I feel like any HOF inductee should be more that just mindless stats in a spreadsheet. They should also (both on and off the field) represent good personal character, be a good example of a player in their sport, and at least manage to not commit any felonies. Doesn't seem like much to ask.

Ray Lewis wasn’t involved with the fight or the killings. In case you forgot he was the prosecution’s star witness and the jury decided the defendants acted under self defense.

I have watched alot of football in the last 45-50 years. Ray Lewis is one of the best football players

I have ever had the pleasure to watch. He was that good and anyone that denies this because he played for the enemy

is just not being real with themselves.

Never said he wasn't good. Just that he doesn't deserve worship and adulation.

Not talking about Ray Lewis, just a general sentiment.

    Humorous, but not true.

Which is why I mentioned OJ, another murderer that got away with it.

I get what you're saying and agree, somewhat. In a perfect world we could ask for HOFers to be good citizens but, the reality is, they screw up. If everyone had to be a good role model and be above reproach, Ben wouldn't make it. Allegations. Junior Seau? Allegations that he used to beat his wife. Irvin? Drug abuser. Etc. Etc.

Still am wondering though why Terrell Owens has not been in.

Easy, the voters think he was a jerk (and he was) so they're making him wait.

Why doesn't he? Not that I think anyone deserves worship, but clearly you're trying to make a point with your posts

Yeah, my point is murderers don't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.

Won't wait much longer, too good not to be in HOF.

Good to see Jerry Kramer on the list. He should have been in years ago.

Which murderer are they preparing to enshrine? Ray Lewis? If so, he was never convicted of murder. Don't you have to be convicted of murder to actually be a murderer?

Kramer has been treated the same way LC Greenwood and Donnie Shell have - there are enough Steelers from the 1970s already in the Hall. There were already enough Packers from the 1960s in the Hall.

His book Instant Replay was a great read for me as a kid.

Besides, he wasn't even being accused of murder. Obstruction of Justice does not make one a murderer.

(Not that I care, I don't like RLewis either, but I can't deny his football talents)

Would have loved for Ray Lewis to be a Steeler. Awesome football player. First ballot HOF.

Kind of guy you hate when hes on the enemy team but wish you had on yours.

    The murder stuff is silly.

I'd venture to say that those young men's families don't find it silly.

    More like Decades ago.

Only player on the NFL's 75th Anniversary team not enshrined up until this point.

    Ridiculous.
