    So if a team is winning 36-0 at halftime and then loses 39-36 then it’s my imagination that there were any adjustments?:cautious:

    Like the colts-vikings in 2022 when the colts with Jeff Saturday as head coach was up 33-0 before losing that game!

    I guess it depends on what you call halftime adjustments

    They have 20 minutes to get off the field on the field and go pee

    Sure the head coach has a few minutes to talk to the coordinators and say we need to open up or put more emphasis here or there

    But there is not time for a new game plan

    Who said anything about a new game plan? A halftime adjustment could be as simple as “We talked about covering the pass. You guys are playing way off and giving up too many yards and then points. Tighten up your damn coverage and try and get a couple turnovers”.

    @jeh1856

    This is not about to have a new gameplan....This is about to make some adjustement at your gameplan!

    It happen often that the second half is completely different from the first half.

    Best example for the steelers,it was the Broncos game in the regular season in 2015....In the first half,the broncos score 4 TD on 4 drive in a row,they were up 27-13 but during halftime,the steelers make some adjustement on defense and in the second half the broncos offense were shutdown and the steelers won 34-27....I am sure they make some change during the halftime in that game!

    No they have 12 minutes to get off the field and back onto the field. Again adjustments are made incrementally throughout the game

    Are yall really this obtuse. The coaches and players are saying it doesn’t happen, but you want to argue as if you know better. Yet once again adjustments are made incrementally throughout the game.

The coaches never mislead any reporters ever. Every single one of them probably falls in line with the standard coaching procedures so as not to rock the boat. Can you now go tell all the sideline reporters to save their breath when asking the coaches as they are going into halftime the same question of “ I see this happened and that happened. What changes do you need to make in the second half”? I’m sure during the SB when they have the extra 10 minutes they bake a pie together.:rolleyes:

    Actually. Both sides are correct. There is little time at halftime, but coaches do get together, and discuss more changes, or lack of changes, players piss, and some get ivs, and some coaches do talk to the players during all this, but the biggest changes come throughout the whole game.....especially if the current gameplan is failing. Even if it's working....they will adjust by what they have seen from drive to drive.

    Again. I’m going by what the players and coaches say. Watch the video posted earlier. They sit there and say it doesn’t happen, but you want to argue because some bubblehead bleach blonde asked a coach on the sideline as the team is retuning to the field. Would it help you if they asked if it was coke or Pepsi or some other equally stupid question instead? You did bring up another point. We know the team only has 12 minutes to get off the field into the locker room and back out onto the field. During that time just as they’re leaving the field and then returning to the field they’re stopped by the aforementioned bubble headed bleach blonde and asked questions. They always give the same answers. We have to block better yada yada yada. The point being they had 12 minutes and now a couple of those minutes are lost due to the reporters asking questions.
