will this change our draft at all with a new OC? will mendy be kept? haley seems to like a RB by commitee anyway, so will he become a lower priority now? i'm sure we still will get an OL player, but what about skill guys? will they give him his choice of skill guys?

 

As with all pro sports teams, all coaches will get input when it comes time to draft. Haley will speak to Tomlin and Rooney about what he envisions for the offence. They will take that vision into consideration when deciding who they need to draft. If Haley believes he can fix the Oline through playcalling, the Steelers will likely take a defender in the 1st round and maybe wait until the 2nd or 3rd round to take an Olineman. If Haley studies tape and says to Rooney that he desperately needs another guard to fix the running game and to protect Ben, there's a good chance they'll draft a guard very early.

Haley will have a ton of input, because the offence is the part of the team that needs fixing the most.

 

it's pretty obvious that new guards are needed. we have tried every player we have on the team to try to fill two spots. it started in preseason. we have needed guards since the last years of faneca and simmons.
