Haley deserves some credit. Especially they were showing the Rainey fake screen and the easy catch for heath Miller.

The only thing I wish he would do is put Plex in by the goaline. It would force a double team becaue of size and take some pressure off of Miller.

Well as President of the I LOVE TODD HALEY FAN CLUB I WILL SECOND THAT!!!! Thank you Todd for once again proving that you are the genius that Bill Belichik said you were. Thank you Dick Haley for impregnating your wife with this thouroghbred of an OC! I'm really glad that you were attracted to her and thank you for raising a pure Steeler specimen.

I agree about Plax, but it may not be Haley's call, it might be Tomlin keeping him out of the game

I liked the trick play. I think if Brown would have thrown the ball sooner it would have been completed. He waited to long and should have never thrown it. Having a few trick plays keeps the defense guessing. Heath is definitely benefiting from the play calling from Haley. I am also in the Haley fan club.

The trick play was a horrible play, you shouldn't even let a QB throw back across the field like that, let alone a WR.

I totally agree! That infuriated me and if you remember it's the second time this year we've ran that play. The first time was in the Cincy game when it would've actually worked but Batch dropped it. We need Randle-El back if we're gonna REALLY run that play. I say call him up! LOL.

I thought that was a reverse and pass to the same side? But yeah, that one should have worked!

i think we will see more of Plax when Ben is back. the biggest reason is they will get to the redzone more often. its been slim pickins down there the last few games.

As Speaker of the House (3rd in command) I am embarressed to say that I didn't even watch the game. Had to watch the Bungles instead and listen to Tunch and Wolf play by play for the Steelers. I just hope that it is an NFL replay game this week so I can grade the H.S. golfers performance.

Up to this point I have been underwhelmed By Todd Haley's
play calling, granted he has been working with a shuffled deck.
His game planning in some games leaves me wondering. Nice job tonight Todd.
He use's Heath Miller to his full abilities, this I like alot.

I think what you are seeing is teams trying to play to his tendencies and he's starting to play change-it-up!

The exciting thing about Haley is that he's able to game plan effectively according to the situation. I didn't see that with Arians. Even last week - I know it was an ugly, ugly game, but the plan was solid. They were running the ball (and dropping it) and overall relying on the safe passing game. It just shows how a team can make their coach look good through effective execution of the game plan.

Man that sucks dude. He called a great game with the exception of the trick play that got picked. I guess in golf terms that play was the equivalent of a triple bogey.

to complete the haley offense we need to find a good wr/te that can block down field and a speed tick built rb that go to the outside (rainey is too light )

Yeah I'm really interested to see how we draft with Haley's playbook in mind. I wouldn't be surprised to see us go after an Anquan Boldin type guy that can make really tough catches in traffic. But I'm not a college football fan so I really don't know if there's anyone even like that. Some of the college fans probably know about that stuff.

he called a good game, but i think they underestimated how well beachum would do. they held in alot of help that really wasen't needed which left heath and will j. out of the patterns to much. this was some of the reasons we had sacks. charlie had to wait for 2 or 3 receivers to get open without a checkdown guy in the patterns. it's still a work in progress.

I'll say it again in a different way. I don't think Haley planned this game much differently than the Cleveland game. Good execution of the game plan makes a coach look like a genius and poor execution makes him look like an idiot. Is there anyone here who thinks that the Steelers LOSE the game to the Clowns if they don't have 7 turnovers? Heck - they probably beat them even if we take away 1 or 2 of those turnovers.

Haley calls a very good game for the most part. He seems to have an excellent command of the abilities and limitations of his lineup each weekend. This will only make the Steelers offense stronger as years go on.

I thought the play calling was okay with the exception of first down. They kept bringing an extra man in the box and we kept trying to run up the middle and not getting much on first down. They knew we wouldn't throw with Batch on first down, so a run play action pass on first down once in a while would of been appropriate. I would hope with Ben in we would of done this.

the play calling at the end was great. the pass to heath up the seam completely screwed them up. they went for rainey. perfect call. the wr screens worked well. they were not expecting them either. nice execution by the O when needed. charlie had them fired up and believing.

I don't think he called a great game really. Everyone in the stadium knew they were gonna run on 1st and 2nd down almost every drive. That's why that Pollard guy was always there like an extra linebacker. And a bomb on 3rd and 3?? Really?? That trick play bomb to DWYER???? Come on! The only time he didn't run on 1st and 2nd was the last drive I think.

I think this is what is happening with the Steelers. Poor offensive execution. It was even so under BA... (ducking). :lolol:
