Why not, he has credentials of calling games in the college ranks. If he isn't ready now he will never be ready. Honestly I think he would be a better OC than QB coach because of his credentials....

Well I think it's BS that the offense needs an overhaul. If you are going to throw around the 21st in scoring stat then you have to accept the 12th in total yards, that means they move the ball between the 20's and struggle when the field shortens in the redzone. That to me is tweaking, so I stand by my statement. And if you thought this place was a zoo after going 12-4 and making the playoffs you haven't seen anything yet. There will be plenty calling for Haleys head.[/quote:3to575ct]

Fair enough, but I pointed out about 10 things that were wrong with our offence, and I didn't even get into how the playcalling makes Ben susceptible to sacks and makes the Oline perform more poorly than they actually are. Even if you forget the scoring and yards stats completely, we had serious problems with our offence, and it's due to all the reasons I listed in my previous post. Tweaking wouldn't solve all those issues.

Totally agree, have to get your feet wet sometime. It's not anymore of a gamble then hoping Haley doesn't blow up our sidelines. I believe people can grow and mature though, here's hoping Haley has done so and learned from the past.

The difference from the KC days is that tomlin is in charge, not Haley. I think Haley will be fine.

Agreed, I posted that somewhere else. Hopefully Tomlin keeps him in check.

Don't get your hopes up. I watched a lot of football besides the Steelers this year and I saw many teams using the infamous bubble screen. Not as often as we did but it's used a good bit. Must be the in thing since so many teams have gone away from the power run game.

There are a couple of issues. 1. We don't need another Arians clone who will be Ben's buddy; 2. Fichtner doesn't have the credentials you think he has: calling games at Arkansas State and Memphis isn't exactly the same as calling games in the NFL.
