I am not saying he needs to shut up and do his job because that would be the ideal things. I am saying he is the defacto number one receiver, not the number one because he won the competition or because he is the best but because he is slightly better than the rest of the WR's on the roster. You want to be the number one guy, the go to guy then you have to show up and make plays. He can pull a T.O> or Ochosinko on Haley on the sideline all day long for all I care as long as his play reflects his desire. In that game he blew a beauty of play, had one splash play on special teams and was mediocre the rest of the game. If you can't fight off the blocks, arm bars, holding and what have you, of has beens and never was scrubs like Pacman Jones, Terrance Newman and Leon Hall how are you going to do against real cover corners. So yeah I don't want to see him getting in his OC's face because he not getting targeted enough when he hasn't shown anything that says I deserve to be a huge part of the game plan so he should STFU until then and then I say yeah blow up at Haley.

I would also like to point out that for the last half of the 2nd quarter until the game ending interception they were in Ben's favorite hurry up/No huddle where he has more control over calling the plays so if Ben wants to be a leader than he should be getting in Brown's face and telling him to back off Haley because he is the one throwing the ball and calling the plays. Instead he did nothing.

Man it sure seemed a lot darker to me when I was there the other night. THIS must explain why Cotch lost the ball in the lights! LOL!!!

Ah, ok, see what you are saying. I did see Ben and AB jawing a little bit though, so maybe Ben was giving him a little of what you are talking about

Sometimes being a fan is not easy. I've been a Pirate fan since the 60's the last 20 years has been tough, excluding this year

What a joke Media has become lately!

If you're going to run a story at least use the actual circumstance and location. It's not even Paul Brown Stadium and I don't even see a Bungle fan in the stands.

    Truly.

Aside from clearly not being a photo from the MNF game...the pic seems to be a file photo from last holiday season. I see Plax, what I think is a wreath, and Doug Legursky's left arm. Aside from the poor journalism, seems a little strange that someone so easily found a photo of Brown appearing to chew Haley out last year. Probably just a coincidence though (no sarcasm).

Not to mention it's been said the cameras didn't catch the incident

I hate journalism today. Anyone remember RoboCop? That's the news today

While I agree that the OL is woeful I think alot of it falls on Ben. He doesn't make the quick read and he refuses or rarely uses his RBs and his check downs. The way to take some of the heat off is to hit-em where they aren't. If the D has no fear they will continue to pin their ears back until you force them to do otherwise. I also agree he earned the right to have a say in the gameplan. The question is what is his idea of a effective offense. I'm so tired of hearing "the skies the limit" for this offense. He doesn't "understand" the running game and he doesn't like the short passing game. What else is there? Throw the ball deep? If there's one thing we can all agree on is this OL is severely lacking in pass protection,so how well is that gonna work.

We all realize this offense needs to figure something out and quick. I have a feeling with the way we are built offensively that the answer to our problems can be found closer to what Haley wants to do than Ben. You said it yourself that he doesn't get the ball out fast enough. That seems to be what Haley is trying to get him to do. For some reason it's just not sinking in. There are multiple reasons why this offense is performing below the line. You can't just put your finger on obe thing. That's why it's so frustrating. It's a team problem.

Maybe Haley should go up in the booth then he won't have to worry about diva receivers getting in his face. That big contract going to Brown's head he needs to make more big plays when he catches the ball.

This whole mess reminds me of years ago when Cowher was fighting with the GM and players were literally fighting each other in the locker room. Someone's head will roll sooner than late. I wonder whose it will be.

I am not sure Ben can adapt. Ben being Ben is what he has done/known his entire career. We best plan on drafting his replacement.

Should be Tomlin's. He is supposed to be in charge right? Stands there and does nothing. Is he singing show tunes in his head during the game?

Come on, Mike. The fact that he doesn't jump around on the sideline all game tells us absolutely nothing about what he does for the rest of the week.

Plus... he really doesn't just stand around doing nothing. This idea has just taken hold in the same way that the idea Mendenhall never hit the hole did.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person who saw that. I was at the bar asking everyone WTF he was doing and why wasn't he hitting the sideline. That would have been a TD. Both he and his blockers appeared to have all the angles.

I think your onto something JJ, only time will tell.(OFF SEASON)
Who is buying the groceries for this team? If you are selected to be a head coach in the NFL, don't you think you would have it in WRITING that you will also be involved in making personnel
    choices?
