I prefer for them to go defense in the first round, but if both White and Bush are gone, and it's probably too early to go for a free safety. Butler is big target at 6'5 230 lbs with 4.4 speed, for Ben to throw to.

Funny you mention this guy cause I have heard many rumors about him being compared to Plex. Then I heard them talking on tv that this kid had many drops and that turned me off some. No way he is first round material IMO.

He's more productive than DK Metcalf, who is being projected as a first round pick.

Production in college is a little misleading, there must be a reason why the NFL teams have DK ahead of Butler right? I am guessing his drops have a lot to do with it. If production was everything all the Bama/Clemson players would be draft in the first round., take Hunt for example he had over 2000 yards his last year and was a 3rd rounder and he played like first round talent but wasn't picked there.

Because of his rare size and speed.

Butlers drops didn't stop him from being the best deep threat in college last year. He's absolutely first rd, IMO.

I'm feeling more and more they are going to take a WR in rd 1. Last year they took one in the 2nd and that was with AB on the team.

My first rd choices would be:
    DK
    Butler
    Harry
and Isabella is really intriguing me. His size is holding me back for a first rd pick but then you look at what AB did and I'm like hmmm. He'd be great in the slot and has 4.31 speed to send him down the field, which he was ranked 11th in college for 20 or more yard receptions and 2nd for deep pass yards with 705.

Yes I agree his size and speed is awesome and that was what had me interested, but when all the experts are talking about his drops that has me worried. The know a heck of a lot more than me and to be honest I have not even watched any game film on him. I respect your opinion on him being a first rounder and his size and speed may take him there but I am defiantly not interested in him in the first round...or any other WR. Some guys I really like a ton are Deebo Samuel, David Sills, Hunter Renfrow, Andy Isabella and all three Georgia guys especially Hardman. Imo WR is very deep no need to grab one in the first with so many other needs. jmo

Actually I was referring to DK's size and speed when I mentioned that. You had asked why DK is ranked higher. Because he's freakishly huge and blazing fast. But yes, Butler is no slouch either in that regard. Very nice package.

I agree it's a deep class with lots of good options but they may feel they need to go more of a sure thing with AB gone.

We lost 3 wrs and added 1. I do think one could be in play.

If we get a bigger wr, I'd rather have Jalen Hurd. He seems very flexible for his size. His routes look much better and fluid. He's plenty fast and is great with the ball in his hands. We might be able to get him with that high 3rd we have.

Either Hakeem or Myles Boykin should be considered. Rather, I would still take defense in Round One and then Myles with the high third. Then again, this all depends on how quickly both Mike Tomlin and Randy Fichtner want a Wideout inserted into the lineup.

Boykin or wesley look good. A J or samuel if we go smaller more polished. Two go early, two to later. Jennings is also a later option.

I like N'keal Harry and Butler if they go WR early.

I would rather see who is there in rd 2. I don't think there is a huge separation in the top wrs. I seen butler play and his size does jump off the screen but I do remember seeing some bad drops. I hate to say it but reminds me of limas sweed. good college wr but I don't know

At #20? I don't see that being a good idea.

Great minds think alike :lolol:, Wexell also said they should take Butler at #20 if no LBs are there.

With the talent out there in the 2nd round and later(Harmon, Samuel,Isabella, Sills, Hardman) no way do I want a WR in the first. If the Devins are gone(which I hope they are) we have plenty of other positions(S,OLB,CB,TE) and players(TJ, Fant, Murphy, Williams, Baker, Adderly, Burns) we should draft before a 3rd-4th WR. IMO we are in win now so let's get a player to help now, I agree we draft a guy like Butler and maybe 2 years from now he might be a #2. I just don't think that helps all that much then as getting a guy who can be a starter right now. jmo

But we have starters at all those positions you mentioned. A 3rd wr would be heavily used.

I don't really want a WR in round 1, I would prefer for them to draft defense.

I wouldn't mind a WR in the first rd. We have a lot ? after JuJu. Hell, some even have doubts about how well he can play without AB across from him.

    I'd take Jennings over sills.

Jennings opened up sills like AB opened up juju.

we also have karaun white here, that was pretty good along with Jennings and sills.
