    The Ravens were held to 10 points three times this season, twice by the Steelers and once by the Chiefs, and the Ratbirds just lost their DC to Seattle :thumbs_up:.

    He will be given the MVP this time if He wins. Even the Ravens fans know this, they won't say it, but what they say around it is answer enough......Why did We nit run the Rbs more. LoL.....Yeah....name Me one other MVP that the team doesn't want the ball in their hands more, but not tge Ravens....they wanted it less.....because they know He deserves no MVP this year. A hand full of Qbs have more total yards, and total tds than Him....Hell one of them is playing in the SB.

    Lamar stats aren't that great, but he will probably win due to the Ravens blowing out most of the playoff teams they faced.

    Which is not a real reason to make the Qb a MVP. They will be making a MVP of a Qb that's team won multiple games with him turning the ball over, and not scoring a single point.
    Yet Purdy(who I don't think is the MVP either).....Has more overall tds, and more overall yards than Lamar, and who's team never won a game He didn't score in. Tell Me You see the hypocrisy here. Also they had to put the ball in Purdys hands to win the NFC championship, but same people that say Lamar was the MVP...are now complaining the put it in His hands too much. LoL the freaking irony of it is amazing.

    After Jackson is named the MVP he will be one of ten QB's that have won the MVP multiple times. The other nine all have Superbowl rings, Lamar has never been to one. He's just a very good regular season QB who chokes under the pressure of playoff football.

    Well, Purdy had his chance to make his case for MVP against the Ravens, he blew it by throwing 3-4 interceptions and the 49ers getting blown out.

    So because the Ravens had the number one scoring D, number 1 sacking D, and Number 1 turnover D....means Lamar is better???

    Some goof on a national sports show on the radio already has Jackson going to the Hall of Fame. Let that settle in.

    Dude if they give Him this MVP that he doesn't deserve...that's almost a guaranteed invitation to the HOF. It's like they are doing it so it doesn't matter whatever He does from here on out. I know that sounds like a conspiracy, but I don't know what else to think. So if they give it to him this year....he almost a shoe in for HOF.....even if he never wins another playoff game again. Freaking travesty.

    What will be interesting to watch is how the Ravens will look in 2024. Mind you that this year was by far the weakest we had ever seen Kansas City, Joe Burrow being injured making Baltimores path that much easier, Buffalo having their issues and a number of AFC QBs like Herbert and Rodgers basically go down for the year.

    For context, look how the 2022 Philidelphia Eagles Super Bowl run was; clean bill of health, some good fortune and tremendous overall coaching. Fast forward to circa 2023 and yikes! Not good.

    While the loss of Mike MacDonald will hurt, other losses like Dennard Wilson (now DC of Tennessee) and Front Executive Office Member Joe Hortiz (also now with Tennessee), Lamar's playoff record, as many here have noted, is going to now be colossally painful. For that matter, assuming he wins his second NFL MVP, he will have accomplished a number of firsts. They are as follows;

    - First QB in the Modern AFL/NFL Era to win two NFL MVPs but not make the Super Bowl.

    - First QB in the Modern AFL/NFL Era to win two NFL MVPs but also having never played in a Super Bowl.

    - First QB to win the NFL MVP Award while throwing for the fewest TDs since 1967.

    - First QB to have won the NFL MVP, possess the NFLs Number One Ranked Defense and not reach the Super Bowl in the same season (1996 Packers, 1978 Steelers, 1968 Colts and 1966 Packers all had won theirs).

    - First QB in the 21st Century to win multiple NFL MVP Awards while not eclipsing 4000 Passing Yards.

    I personally do not despise Lamar as a player nor as a person (infinitely more redeemable than DeShaun Watson) but now with his 2nd Award, those cheers are now more likely to garner jeers.

    It's the Crap Bowl for me. I don't like either one of the finalists . No rooting interest at all.
