    Wasn't very impressive.

Should only get better from here on out.

It will. Our front is good and watt looks beast.

A healthy bud and tooey only strengthens this unit. Our safeties need depth

I think he played well he got burnt a time or 2 , but he played tight to the los and it allowed our DL and blitzes to get home .

If we had Ross we would have more than likely lost the game .

    Edit

We had a lot of coverage sacks. I thought he played great. Going to give up catches here and there. He had that one sack too.

We still need another man slot CB or someone to grow into the role . We also need a cover all the space type Safety like Jabril Peppers .The Browns played single high almost the entire game.It would be great if we could do that . Or at least be able to mix it in some. No way could we pull that off with our current Safeties.

He's had what, 10 days in the system? Less?

He'll be fine and was an obvious upgrade.

Yup....he just has to get used to the fact that he has a better chance of seeing Bigfoot than safety help in our schemes.....

McDonald's debut was underwhelming, Ben really targeted the Outlaw. Wonder if Vance is still working on getting the playbook down.

Any update on Mitchell, did he get injured? Wilcox came in after that Mitchell hit late in the game then rung his bell on that TD pass.

Not much to go off for those 2 guys today.

The defense as a whole looked like they didn't expect Kizer to come out firing the way he did.

They appeared to adjust to what he was doing in the late 2nd Q and the second half.

Also saw the Browns try to attack the LBs with the run game after Tuitt went down.

I question some of you on whether you actually pay attention to the game. I didn't hear Haden's name other than the almost INT he had. That means he played well. He wasn't getting burnt on 20 and 30 yard plays.

Now McDonald was lousy but he was never good to begin with. TJ Watt is going to be a mega star if he stays healthy. And Shazier will be a DOPY before his career is over, barring injuries.

Simple, he is better than what we had/have. Not a top ten cb, but better than what we trotted out before.

We asked and our GM delivered on improving team.

He looked pretty decent, better than pretty much anything else we've had in a while. I thought his coverage was really good at times and his jump was quick.

He'll allow some big plays this year but really help win other games as well.

I thought he did well considering he's only been on the Steelers roster for about 2 weeks. Haden is the least of our problems.

I think Haden has alot of juice left in the tank. Still a #1 CB, top 20 league-wide. He came to Pittsburgh to win, and to win a SB. If Artie Burns develops the way we think he can, and want him to, than he'll be our #1 CB. Haden would be a mean #2 corner. 1, 2 punch :beg:

Not to mention the value that Haden brings in mentoring Artie. Let's not forget Haden is a former #7 overall pick. And he excelled while playing for Cleveland. Definitely a top 10 CB in his prime. Now he's definitely in the later stages of his career. Hopefully he still has a couple more years of prime before he starts to teeter off

He doesn't seem to have the speed Ross has, but he knows what he is doing out there.

His veteran instincts make him better.

Being that it was he 1st time playing in the defense. I don't think he was too bad.

Secondary forced a lot of coverage sacks. Gay would have had a pick six had he not dropped it.

He had a sack his first sacks since 2011. Look at it this way you didn't yell at your TV the way you would if it was Ross Cockerell playing
