Good to hear you're doing better.

Went to see my Orthopedist today and it's confirmed.

    Arthritis in my knees. :frustrated:

Guess I'm officially an old man now. Oh well, time to take my Friday night medicine. :shots::guiness:

(edit: not for nothing, but Captain Henry Morgan is my.... I was about to violate the board's terms. But seriously. either this stuff is getting weaker, my liver is super strong, or I've been hitting things way too hard lately. My tolerance is higher than I ever remember. Not complaining. Just makes things more expensive. :D)

It's been a while since I've updated this. I'm actually still dealing with issues from this. The red spots I mentioned in post #20 have gotten much worse. I mean, they're huge. I still get low grade fevers at night, and I've developed some other nagging things.

I haven't gone back to the Dr., but I know what it is, and I know there's nothing that they can do about it. It's something called pityriasis rosea. It's basically harmless and goes away on its own, typically in 4-6 weeks. It seems to be most often triggered by a viral infection, though I've read there are other recorded triggers. A lot of people report that the spots itch, though mine don't at all thankfully. People get some weird symptoms with this, but mine aren't as bad as some I've read. Just some weird leg sensations and some joint pain. Since I almost never get sick, I figured I'd save it all up for some month long freak thing. :lolol:

In all seriousness, hopefully you get over it sooner rather than later. Need a healthy TTF when the season begins and to keep this board from blowing up after our first loss. :lolol:

Well I hope your self diagnosis is correct Dr.TTF and nothing major is wrong. But there is a reason we have hospitals were doctors are employed who have spent many years in school and practice whos job it is to diagnosis many diseases. Im guessing they dont GOOGLE it!! Take care of yourself my friend. WE CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!

I'm confident with it. Love and respect docs and hospital workers, but the one I just went to told me it was a coincidence and gave me a script for zyrtec. Thanks for the kind words, I'm taking care.

Thankfully I skipped the eye bleeding stage and went to the weird rash stage.

Actually, I think these are pre symptoms to becoming a zombie.

The repeated fever thing is a little concerning :hmmm:

You got about 4 weeks to kick this thing to the curb before Steeler football starts :herewego:

I have had some strange cravings lately.

The low grade fever is a normal side effect oddly enough.

I forgot to update this thread. Oddly enough, this bad reaction turned out to be a coincidence after all. After a bunch of other symptoms, a few more Dr. visits, and some head scratching by me and them, it turned out to be Lyme disease. I ended up having some nerve issues from it, and ultimately some really brutal "Lyme arthritis". I'm finally just getting back to normal.

    That sucks!

Are you going to have a full recovery? Or might there be lingering effects? Not sure what the prognosis for that is nowadays.

Thanks, Ray. Not sure about a full recovery. I hope so, but there probably will be some lingering effects...mostly joint related things in my case. I have some fluid in my knee that's being stubborn, but I'm able to do everyday stuff finally so I'm happy.

Up until a week ago, getting out of bed some days, and up the stairs any day was pretty rough due to the migratory arthritis that no normal pain killer would touch. Thanks to this last round of potent antibiotics, I shoveled a bunch of snow yesterday like it was nothing. :rawk:

Thanks. I tried the coconut home remedy, but it didn't work. The one where you mix the lime and the coconut. And rum.

Oddly enough, I never knew I got bit by a tick. Sneaky devils.
