the Steelers have been absolutly crushed with injuries this year. kind of reminds me of the year the Packers beat the Steelers in the super bowl when they had a ton of injuries.

their top 4 rbs have all gone down at some point. and the next guy in line just steps up and does his job.

they lost Pouncey and Gilbert. Legs and Adams both stepped in and the oline never skipped a beat and probably got better. you can even throw in DeCastro getting hurt in preseason and Foster stepping in.

Troy and Clark both have been hurt and Mundy and Allen both stepped in a did very well. i know Mundy gets crushed around here, but he has done his job.

Brown got hurt yesterday and Sanders and Cotchery both stepped up their games.

Harrison and Woodley have both missed time and Carter and Worilds both filled in pretty well. sure they werent doing the things that we are used to seeing Harrison and Woodley do, but they held their own.

this team is 5-3. they are righ in the thick of things and im sure most of us can admit that they have yet to put it all together and play their best football yet. hopefully they can start to get healthy and make a real run at the super bowl. the next 4 weeks will tell us all we need to know. they have the Cheifs, Ravens, Browns and Ravens again. this is the stretch were they can go 3-1 or 4-0. the Ravens are beat up and barely squecking out wins against bad teams. this is the time were the Steelers need to start putting it all together. 9 wins probably puts you in the playoffs this year in the AFC. i still think this is a 11 or 12 win team. for as bad as they have looked in the 1st half and with all the injuries they are 5-3 and only 1 game behind the Ravens.

i know they play the Cheifs monday night and some might think they will look past them, but as bad as they have played in some games this year and with all the injuries i just dont see them looking past anyone.
