Guy I'm exited about...

is Adrian Robinson.

I read a lot about how Robinson would probably be the toughest cut coming. Because he likely wouldn't make it to our PS, and his ability to play the run and drop into coverage was VERY raw. He also hasn't shown to be a great special teams player (which if you look is VERY normal for DE's turned LB). Worilds and Woodley were not good ST's either.

One thing that was repeatedly said about Robinson though, is he knows how to get to the QB. Tomlin even pulled out his old "one trick pony" line about Robinson. I love that he's on the roster though, if he dresses he would be great to rotate in on obvious passing downs.

 

I'm gonna be honest and say I don't remember Worilds' preseason special teams performance, but I don't remember thinking anything negative about it. He was certainly good at it by the time regular season started.

If you're gonna be a one trick pony at OLB, rushing the quarterback is the trick to have. He really does suck at the rest, but he has plenty of time to learn it.

 

Worilds did not play a down in the preseason because of his wrist injury. That is pretty negative

 

I was talking about 2010. He was using Worilds as a comparison to Robinson on special teams. I was saying I don't remember Worilds struggling on special teams even as a rookie. In fact he was pretty good. However, I don't remember his preseason performance specifically.
