Maybe we should wait until after free agency, and the draft before predicting their record for next season.

9-8, same as I predicted last year and only was off by 1 game due to them being forced to play Mason and Balt. playing backups. Otherwise would have nailed it. Some other notable predictions:

    - Will be in the bottom 5 in PPG. We have a new OC but we got the same old, "pee-his-pants" HC involved.

    - Defense will be "middle-of-the-road." But they will get a pass because offense will be blamed for "3 and outs" and always putting the D on the field.

    - Najee will get 1,000 meaningless yards (17 games, easy to get 1,000 yards but no one will bring that up).

    - Kenny will continue to produce crap, will score less than 1 TD pass a game like usual.

    - Fans/natives will begin to get restless after offense still can't score above 20 PPG as a rule.

We have all the characteristics of a 9-8 team not sure why you are in such disbelief.

Too many variables... I think even with how atrocious Kenny has been, this team is likely to bee good enough to win games anyways. We will be playing a 3rd place schedule, and should be in WC contention basically no matter who is QB'ing the team. If we go out and upgrade the QB situation... then who knows. With Cousins at QB I think this is a 13 win team. Mayfield probably makes us a 11-12 win team. Fields is a wild card. Probably about the same at 11 wins, but getting there a different way. Kenny makes us lean heavily on defense. If we are a 17-18 ppg defense, we are a .500 team with Kenny with a shot at winning 9-10 if we do well in close games. If we are a 20-21 ppg defense, we win 5-6 games with Kenny. I expect the defense to be pretty good, but I will reserve judgment on that group until after we see our FA signings and draft picks.

9-8, just going with the mean Tomlin record

its not what i want, but what will probably be, seriously though, i think this is the year they bust out and go on a serious playoff run

    9-8

3rd hardest schedule for 2024. We were fortunate to go 5-1 in the division last year, and then blew it against a very easy out of division slate.

It's a team sport. Wilson may provide 1-2 more wins than Pickett at this point... but it's not like the Steelers will be good or consistent enough to beat the Chiefs, Bills and Bengals in the playoffs.

The AFC is absolutely brutal not only the 3 teams you mentioned but now you have CJ Stroud and the Texans, the Jags are a very talented team and so are the Dolphins. Every team in our division had a winning record and the Ravens were the #1 seed. The Chargers with Jim Harbaugh could do really well with Justin Herbert now and the Jets with a healthy Aaron Rodgers could be a team to reckon with. The 10th seed in the AFC is probably better than the #5 seed in the NFC.
