No call for something like that.

There was an announcer he went to after the game and tried to say he was getting pushed and grabbed, but there's no excuse for thuggish behavior like that!

Harrison was fined and suspended for bang-bang plays during play. This was frustration and anger after the play was clearly over and it injured another player.

If this was hockey he'd be getting a game or 2 definitely as it was after play was over and caused an injury.

Sad when hockey can explain it's discipline decisions better than the NFL!

He might get a game, but anything longer than that will be appealed and overturned.

His butt ought to be suspended and the Steelers need to do everything they can to get inside that weak, pathetic mind of his! That was one of the most flagrant attempts to intentionally injure another player that I've ever seen. But...he'll get a slap on the wrist because he's the Great Gronk and plays for the league's golden franchise.

Yup, dirty. Definitely should be a game suspension.

Wasnt the most vicious thing I have seen but ended up an injury.

    Probably just get a fine.

You know what else I noticed? He had pushed off the DB at the top of his break anyway and that's when the DB was holding on.

Also...He tends to use that padded arm as a weapon a lot.....

Will be fined, and BETTER be suspended. I don't see more than a game, tho. Should have been ejected from the game, imo

Absolutely should have been ejected. It's a joke that if you throw a punch (at a guy with a helmet on) you're automatically out, but not for slamming a guy's head into the ground!

Also, the idiot probably added to his fine by criticizing the refs during his "apology"

I hope he gets a game suspension. That was uncalled for.

Very dirty hit. Deserves a game suspension but with NFL discipline anything could happen from 6 games out to giving him a medal.

This egregious hit should warrant not only a fine but a multiple game suspension. He deliberately went for the head of the Bill player laying on the sideline.

Tough to predict NFL discipline but if I had to bet money I would bet on a two games suspension appealed down to one game. And if they are smart they will have his suspended game be the game against the Bills. They are going to be head hunting for him after that.

At most, it will be one game. So he sits next week and plays against the Steelers.

It should be more. That was as dirty as you can get. The Bills' player was on the ground and Gronkowski launched himself at the guy's head, causing a concussion. That is intent to injure. But given that Gronkowski hasn't been disciplined by the league for any previous such incidents, he won't miss more than one game.

He'll be out at least one game but for a idiotic stunt like that it ought to be 2 or 3 and a massive fine. It was a brutal hit targeting the back of the head of a guy already laying on the ground and it gave White a concussion.

I'd be saying the same thing if one of our guys did it. This kind of thing is unacceptable and should be punished severely.

Aside from players stomping on another player who is on the ground, I can't think of many acts I've seen that were more vicious. It may have been more of a clear intent to injure than even Burfict's hit on Brown in the playoffs a few years back.

He apologized, but regardless, that was dirty as can be and completely uncalled for.

Can you imagine if a Steelers player did that? He’d be gone for the rest of the year. But they won’t do anything to the cheatriots. Old roger will fine him and tell us to move along, nothing to see here.

He basically fell on him. I dont call that vicious, dirty yes.

Vicious is what Burfict did to Brown. Or the TE hit lit up on the goal line last year or just about any Burfict hit.

Edit: Ok, my bad, didnt look at this long enough. The first one looks like he just belly flopped on him, I didnt even know he gave him a concussion, thought he injured his shoulder. The last slo mo angle is clearly worse than I thought it was. Headshot and vicious.

Nobody should get their hopes up. Gronk will be playing against the Steelers... making our LBs and DBs lives' miserable.

Bill Belicheat and Bob Kraft will simply have lunch with Roger Gooddell at the top floor of his NYC suite and it will be determined that Gronk has not had a history of this behavior. They will promise that he will not repeat this odd behavior and he will receive the minimum fine to Gooddells favorite charity of $12,500. Some of the money will go towards a new broom so that it can be swept under the rug as the old one is showing wear.

Oh but he has been disciplined before:

Some will argue that Gronkowski deserves leniency because he doesn’t have a track record for dirty hits. But his history isn’t spotless, including a pair of personal foul fines in 2015 – one for fighting in Super Bowl XLIX and another for steamrolling Indianapolis Colts cornerback Sergio Brown into a sideline camera lift well after a play had ended. The latter was violent enough to make all the highlight shows and even left Gronkowski joking that he had tossed Brown “out of the club” on the play.

At least Burfict was on the field on play and was a snap decision, I can stomach that. Gronk was after the whistle and premeditated, total bullship.

Funny how in that link they say his comment about the hit was "beyond gold." Let Harrison say something like that after one of his finable hits, and watch how the media treats him differently. Same with Burfict.
