If that happens Art Rooney should bust into the NFL league office and say F*ck all of you! But sadly he won't.

Eh, this organization is pretty stupid in general and will not win another championship. Especially if Hoodie and that fruity bastard at QB are still there for another 5 years. I hope Brady seriously gets his back broken and never plays again. His wife is more of a man than he is.

I'm really disappointed between Tomlin, Colbert and Rooney one of them couldn't realize this was a bad idea

I, for one, respect his decision.

He wants to continue his dream of playing the sport he loves. Plenty of other players have done the same in years past for other teams. He is no different.

I wish him all the best and thank him for a memorable Steelers career. :towel:

I don't think he'll have much of a effect in the game. But the fact is he'll most likely get a ring for simply being cut.

I wish him the best as well, even if it means we have to hoist another trophy without him. Love the guy and all he did here, but time to move forward

Just further shows this is really a business. Some players will switch caps to whoever will employ them for their services.

You mean like when they cut LeGarette Blount and had no running back to play against the Broncos in the playoffs that year because they lost Bell? And who won the SB that year? But don't worry this time Colbert and Tomlin know what they're doing. I'm sure history won't repeat itself.

What if he's the one lifting the Lombardi without us? You're ok with that?

Why shouldn't they? If I worked at Lowes and got downsized and then next day I got an offer from Home Depot, should I not take it?

I don't blame Harrison one bit. Good for him.

Not meaning to jump down your throat if you took it that way or if I did I apologize. This is a message board and it really bothers me when people try to tell other people what their opinions are, and I have seen a lot of it lately on here. With that said don't mean no hard feelings I really like when you and I go back and forth lots of good stuff.

As for facts the only facts I have is JH played week 1 4 snaps, week 3 3 snaps not stats, he played week 6 15 snaps 1 sack 3 tackles, week 7 7 snaps no stats & week 14 11 snaps no stats. That is the facts, I will say this 1 sack 3 tackles is pretty good with limited playing time. I see a guy who keeps himself in shape and can rush the QB. My question to all you guys is where is the facts that he is done, he is in good shape but obviously not game shape not by his doing.

This whole conversation has taken a whole new turn now as he will be taking his washed up a$$ to NE and drooling to sack BB.............

And there is the disconnect between fans and reality. The vast majority of the players care less about the teams they play for than the fans who root for them. Guys like Bettis and Ward and Polamalu are very rare. Fans are way more emotional while the players are more rational, it's a job to them. Fans think that if they were in a players shoes that they'd take less to play, or quit early to preserve a legacy. It's fantasy land. It's a job and it's all about the Benjamins.

I totally understand that and don't blame Harrison for his signing. The front office has to understand that you cannot do stuff like this in this NFL world where is a juggernaut franchise waiting to pounce. I want to believe they hate the Patriots franchise as much as we fans do but sometimes idk.

Because he's not a superstar any more. He's not even close to the player he was last year, much less his prime.

Vrabel wasn't cut. He left as a free agent because the Steelers had better players ahead of him. He showed promise, but Porter and Gildon were better.

That was a very different situation. Blount had a role on that team and he clearly had plenty left in the tank. That was a terrible decision by the Steelers. I said so the moment they cut him. At worst, they should have benched him.

Harrison wasn't playing. This wasn't a matter of getting rid of a malcontent. Somebody had to go and he was a waste of a roster spot. Are the Patriots using this to mess with the Steelers? Probably. Coach Hoodie really is the kind of guy to do such a thing, and maybe hope Harrison can make a play or two in a big spot.

Never be okay with that for that franchise... For him on a personal level if he contributed to that trophy then **** it! He's earned it man. but in real life... It's really out of my hands. He got cut, he went to a contender... Don't blame him. As much as I wished it was a suicide mission hatched by our office, it just ain't. Same old rehashed story of a guy on the down side of his prowess gets a second chance and what not... I'm not calling our team idiots for it. Wished our team could've gotten him a few more snaps to stop the run bleed and maybe get a sack or 2, but they didn't and that's that. I hate it and hope he don't have one last hurrah against our/his team but if he does, it's because the steelers team let him do it not because they let him go if you catch my drift!

I get what you're saying. I just don't understand why as a supposed smart front office you'd want to risk this and be embarrassed later.

I know... Hence I said not cutting it! Not got cut!

The point was, that their coach tends to get something out of something or nothing always has. I think their Picking him up sucks. Is what it is in the biz I see James as a freeney signing maybe he gives you one last splash play Maybe he don't... But if he does you don't want it against his former team. Nothing more nothing less.

Because regardless of lack of opportunity or whatever, he didn't show em enough to think he might be a viable threat as an opponent moving foreward regardless of how we view it.

I am also not sure the fact that Harrison knows the playbook is that big of a deal.

I don't know that for sure but....every training camp dudes get cut. Some of those guys have been with their teams for years. All of them know the playbook to one extent or another. But you don't see teams scooping up players their divisional rivals have cut just to get that insider info, which leads me to believe that fear may be overblown.

Again, I could be full of crap. It's just a hunch.
