This is typical MT and coaches game plan. NONE. When you’re up against a D like the Bills the run and ding and dunk oases are not going to win playoff games. But the only salvation we have is weren’t supposed to be in the playoffs. And we played that way.

The funny thing is, it's not the no losing seasons this year. It's he took us to the playoffs... but did he really?

Tomlin is great at raising the floor of a team - there's no question about that - but his ceiling is incredibly low. I feel like we're always playing out of a hole that was needlessly dug. This has been the Tomlin way for quite some time. We desperately need to try something new. We won't, because diversity. But that's what we need.

I've wanted him gone since 2011. Honestly, I never liked the hiring to begin with, but I cut him some slack after the early SB win.

    CB?

We have an ALL PRO in the making. a punter, we can find in HS.

ILB is a problem - but we had 3 decent ones, 2 went down mid season.

Mason can QB, just watch the games.

OLINE, we need a C and LT.

and - get ready for this - we NEED BETTER COACHING

Ya I'm all for being competitive but we know the end result. They have been terrible in every playoff game. Honestly this gm started bad but it was a good showing and that's bad as well bc the previous games have been way worse in my opinion.

The interception and fumble didn't matter as Tomlin's defense wouldn't have stopped Bills when it mattered.

I recalled there was a big INT of Elway that sealed it for us in that 84 playoff game.Wish i could remember the player name

Mason as QB? I'm hoping he's not on the team next year. This game showed he is not QB1 material.

I do agree about the coaching :smiley1:

That's just BS and I'm not going back to try and necro threads on the board because, well I really don't give a fat rats ass what you say or think. But I know damn well when I've made posts about Tomlins past 6 years of postseason (now 7) being the worst stretch in steelers history superbowl era, you were right there trying to dispute it.

Guess u prefer 9-8, 8-8, 10-7 and getting beat down in the playoffs. If we were going to lose and still suck in the playoffs when we made it then sure be average, but I'd take a losing season if it somehow could lead to them being actually good.

I think most of us would rather try a different coach if the players change but the results always end with mistakes and falling behind by more points than they average in a game. Just a thought

Honestly, a losing season would be painful to endure, but we haven't had a top 12 draft pick in like two decades. By NOT losing for so long, we've lost opportunities to draft top pedigree players, including at QB. No pain, no gain.

he clearly is QB1 material - he will be starting in the NFL next year. He made a critical mistake in Q1 - HOF's make critical mistakes.

Mason will be fine ...... somewhere......

We missed on talent eval of him the past 2 years somehow, somewhere......

    So
So you are planning on going into next season with none of our quarterbacks since right now our best QB1 is Mason
