I agree. I really like this kid. I hope he gets a look as punt returner in Latrobe.

I was a naysayer after we drafted him. I based that on his size as I was tired of the Rainey, Archer experiments. Although they were RBs and Ayers is a WR, I still didn't have high hopes. I was wrong on that, he has proven to be a nice player these past few games. I like the Pitbull nickname. Lesson learned on my part..

He's made some highlights recently with clutch grabs and consistent showings... Like him myself quite a bit

Did not have many doubts about him personally. Thought he was an awesome value pick in the seventh.

Kid played well against Florida State and was quite the playmaker for Houston.

Kid has turned out to be quite the player. Cannot wait to see his progress tomorrow. :hardrock:

You think he might be the guy we hoped Sanders would be here? Shame that Sanders couldn't stay healthy for us.

Too early to tell. Like what I am observing personally.

I was definitely a naysayer after the draft too. In our defense he is a smurf who was clocked at a 4.7 or 4.8 at his pro day so it wasn't exactly a pick to get excited about, lol. Glad to have misjudged him.

Thats exactly why I felt he could be good. The odds are just stacked too high against RB's that small. The doubts I had was his combine numbers but apparently he was hurt.

He looks fast on the field.

It's weird how a "slow" combine guy can look like that but then a guy like Rainey or Archer who were "fast" guys can look totally slow on a pro field. Totally different going sideline to sideline and cutting and things like that though. Straight line speed is probably not as big of a deal as it's made out to be.

It really is not. There are far more factors to player evaluation such as vision, ball security, elusiveness, and agility; tip of the iceberg really.

Speed is a good thing but not everything.

the best case is straight line speed with good quickness numbers and agility. it's a total package deal you look for but they are rare. find a guy with all these traits and size and iq and you have a monster that usually plays a different position. lol

Manny had all the tools, if you remember I believe he had foot problems
then his mother passed away. He was good back then and is still good. He will catch his 80
and keep moving on each and every year. You ask why Him and AB are great, they know how to run routes
    can SEPERATE.

They weren't going to keep Sanders around anyway once they paid AB.
