Good Game for the O Line

Been down on them for a while, but gotta give em props when they play a solid game. We ran the ball pretty well, and actually gave Ben an adequate amount of time in the pocket. Loved Bell's patience and vision. He allowed the blocks to happen before he read which hole to hit, and hit it with a vengeance!

Side note: I know many people on the board have been hating on him, but I felt that Guy Whimper held his own pretty well and had himself a solid game.

Hopefully this is just the start of a positive trend for this group!!! Go Burgh!!!

Well said. If I recall correctly, Ben didn't take one of those huge hits that he typically gets a few of in the Ravens games.

 

Didn't see your thread. I just started another. But lets give them there props.

Beachum, Foster, Velesco, DeCastro, Gilbert, Whimper and even Adams.

 

same here, sorry. I didn't see either one before I put mine up. yep solid game, now we build on it.

 

DeCastro- I think- is very quietly coming along nicely and Velesco has been ok too.

I see the same with Decastro, he is blocking downfield and getting better each game he plays.

 

I agree jad and jimmy. DD is getting better every game. he's rockin some people too. velasco has a nasty streak to him also, I like it. maybe he is a big help to DD.

 

Will Velesco replace Foster next year when Pouncey returns?

I thought the o-line did a great job early in the game but it seemed like the pocket was collapsing a little faster as the game went on.

** Disclaimer - I know the Steelers won the game and that is the point. **

 

I definitely give props to the O-Line for that game. There was a marked improvement in their play. And it lead to a win.
