I guess there was a reason he lost he starting job at Alabama. DefLine coach should have known that.

"While it isn’t rare for draft picks of the Pittsburgh Steelers to not make the team’s initial 53-man roster, it is rare for those draft picks who are waived during the final round of roster cuts to not immediately wind up being signed to the practice squad. "

Steelers took a late round shot on the guy and it didnt work out. Most 7th round picks dont. I just thought it was silly that people were acting like Frazier was instant starter material. I kept thinking, "wait a minute, he didnt even start in college?"

    Ugh. Was wrong about him.

I do wish him all the best. Thought he could push Big Dan. Perhaps a position coaching change was al that was needes after all.

That is what had me wondering, too. I never liked the pick and I didn't understand why some fans here thought Frazier was going to be some kind of impact player from day one.

I'm not getting all heart broke with the departure of a 7th round pick. We do have two UFDAs making the roster, which is basically the same thing.

The Steelers have some cap room to test the free agent waters to see if anyone sparks an interest to fill a need.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the off season as a whole.

I am still snarking over the long snapper 6th round pick that didn't make the team last year.

That player is thriving on a different team.
The Steelers made sure they had two choices for LS, and in a rare situation, either one of them would have worked out. (Better than the alternative of relying on only one choice, and not having it work out.)
