God Told Cromartie it was OK to Hit Leftwich in the Head

I'm stoking up my Eagles hatred early! I will be interested to see how the Commisssioner handles this one. If Harrison had made that hit he would be sitting for the entire season

 

At long last, the God vs. Goodell showdown...

I would just like to say that while people still refer to James Harrison as a violator of rules and dirty player, the fact remains that he hurts people while making good, form tackles and clean hits. People just get hurt because he's James Harrison.

What Cromartie did was go waaaay out of his way to hit somebody in the head. He might as well have brought a stepstool and a baseball bat onto the field. This one play is far worse than everything Harrison has ever done, combined.

 

Uh huh, and God will tell goodell to give cromartie a nice stiff fine as well.

 

Well I guess god will pick up the tab on the fine he will be receiving too!

And on another note, if god told Cromartie it was ok to hit leftwich, then our own James Harrison must be the most religious linebacker in the league

If he honestly believe that hit was clean then perhaps he needs to find a new profession. There's room in the WWE for people with that mentality.

On a side note. I'm surpised Chad Ocho Bozo didn't use the bible thumper excuse for head butting his newlywed.

These players should realize, that when you sign on the Dotted line.
that these things could happen.Was it flagrant? yes Should he be suspended/fined? yes according to rules set up by the league!

The only people that are going to prevent these things from ocurring are the players themselves,
this is STILL a violent game played by violent people. Until the yuppies/ corporate types take over
the league (which they are well on their way) these incidents are going to happen. I am an old
football player from way back, we use to love to BLOW people up.Of course not bush league,
but get any oppurtunity to get your licks in. Oh times they are a changin.

I'm not sure, in this case, that the Bible is the most direct strategy guide for the technical elements of competitive sport.

He also said "no question" that his hit on Leftwich was clean which has everything to do with "knocking the poopies" out of Leftwich as you put it. Not saying that God told him to do it but the first part of his statment does refer to the hit on Byron.

 

I won't be the least bit surprised if nothing comes of it. It may also be a little while if and when we hear something.

 

I don't get it. He was handing out fines like candy for breathing wrong on people (exaggeration I know).
