give me your opening day secondary

this is one thats not talked about much,because we don't know much about any of them but ike. i have good feelings about cortez allen (the tez-manian devil). brown, well i need to see more. ike and lewis i think will start with troy and clark. allen and brown should fight over the nickle spot. fredrick? not sure about this year, PS. walter mcfadden may get the nod as the 5th. carter? has a shot as does robert golden. i like him as a safety but he's played corner also.

i think they are going to keep an extra safety this year. 5 cb's 5 safeties. cromartie-smith,mundy,rolle,troy,clark. ike,lewis,allen,brown,mcfadden or a FA.

 

opening day? will be lewis and taylor at corners and mundy and polamalu at safties. its in denver. about week 4 I think allen gets the nod over lewis. the guy has had many chances to start and drops the ball everytime.

 

ah yes, forgot about denver and clark.

 

steelers depot had a nice write up on how these young cb's could be used to play more of a man to man defense and give the pass rush more time to get to the qb. it sure seems they have some high hopes for these young guns. wouldn't it be nice to see them step up like our young receivers and become one of the best secondaries in the league? good to hear they have had a plan in place for these guys. carnell lake and DLB are brewing up something in da burgh to keep this defense on top.

 

I think it will be Keenan Lewis and Ike Taylor day 1, but I'm hoping that Cortez Allen wins the #2 spot.

I am very high on Brown,I think he has top notch talent....I think he wins the 2nd. CB spot I have no doubt he is a huge upgrade over Gay......Heck at 38 I am a upgrade over Gay....I will admit that Gay had his best season ever ,but he just doesn't possess the skills needed to be an above average CB....

I think Lewis is just like Gay and could be sevicable......IMO Allen is slighly better than them as stated Brown is the guy with the goods the sooner he gets out there the better our D can get....
