i think they are going to run alot more with haley. lots of screens and flair passes to the backs. linemen are gonna have to get out there and make some blocks. i love the added mobility this bunch is going to offer. we need healthy this year.

Not Gilbert. The Guards are going to be expected to get into space and lead. He'll be sealing in or out and after that "maybe" see if he can get up the field. On some sweeps he may have to get out to his spot though.

Unless he improves quite a bit over last year,
and I don't think his work ethic is there, he is going to have problems
    in the NFL.

He's not going to do much down-field running. Screen passes though....I keep forgetting that's been rumored to be the new plan.

Running and exploding out of a stance are two different things. He won't stress his hamstrings on plays the same way Woodley did. I'm not worried about, he'll be fine. These things happen in camp, no matter how much off-season training they do, it's not equivalent to the real thing.

thats exactly what i said, and it's no rumor, it's fact already. he will be going downfield more than you think in this offense. not just the guards. they are also already saying colon is having a hard time getting out in front of plays. mobile linemen will be the norm in this offense. it's a whole different ballgame then what we have been used to around here. some of you younger guys don't remember or have never seen the times when the steelers were the best in the business at screen passes. it was their bread and butter. i'll bet we would run 5-6 screens a game and make them work. cowher used them early in his time here and then changed direction with it. big mistake. now it's making it's comeback. you guys used to get mad about the bubble screen and how many they would run. they would run the screens to the backs twice as much back in nolls days, but they worked. it was because of the mobile linemen we had and their ability to block downfield. i can't wait to see it. we have to train these linemen to do it though.

I am, he was owned by Jabaal Sheard,(Brownies) a second round rookie out of Pitt
(I am a Pitt supporter) last year it was damm shame watching him. He did improve a little
as the season went on, but as it stands now he is not even close to being a Pro Bowl
player. He is too slow and does not have good footwork. But help is on the way and
his name is David Decastro, the Steelers OL just got extremely better. Gilbert's work
    ethic is VERY QUESTIONABLE.
