I believe sitting out games will do nothing to solve the problem. I've been a Steeler fan for over 40 years and the way pro sports are headed is a damn shame. Make your social justice crusade off season. Your job allows you plenty of free time and money to actually make a difference. Physically friggin do something! I know I'm a little off base but people will turn pro sports off. The flag and anthem issue is a big deal, and the more they bring politics on the field or court it will rub some people the wrong way. Man has 2020 sucked or what???.....Just wanna talk about XXXOOO's

I’m almost starting to miss JuJu Bean complaining about Tomlin after a game. Almost. Sort of. Well, just a little.....

It shouldn’t be this hard to watch sports.

I guess I was suggesting with the link that the answer, speaking generally historically, is... “sometimes.”

But I appreciate you we’re talking more specifically about the here and now.

It shouldn't yet it is becoming so and looking sharply like it's only going to get worse. After years of a slow build up 2020 is officially the year where common sense went AWOL. It's really as simple as this if folks allow themselves to see things outside of this current programmed reality...

Follow the money! Idols are created to sway the people. Observe a platform's location and whom influences said locations ideologies. Further observe their symbols. Try to recall actual history, it is repeating itself, only the names have changed.

Agree. I have a lot of things I’d love to say, but I’m afraid it’s going to be too far outside the lines of what is acceptable here.

Got my first mod edit last night... And I apologize to the mods as I'm not looking to kick up dust per se but I don't like the misinformed or mismanaged dust getting blown into our faces at this point. I love everyone here and it has become kind of a home at times... But things are upside down currently and it's a simple fix once you call it what it is... Politicized agenda and then the discussions can start.... **** here I go again... I may need to walk away.

Predictable. This thread was an abortion from the start.

That's why this board has a no politics rule. Politics is maddening. This place should be an oasis from that sort of stuff. That, and we're here to share our enthusiasm, nay, love for this team and the great game of football. Why sully that? Why cause more friction among us than we'd normally have just arguing about things like if this player or that should start or which coach to fire. ;)

When politics or social issues cause stress, unplug from it for a while. Gain perspective.

Or just take to heart a line from a Billy Joel classic: "I believe I'm past the age of consciousness and righteous rage. I found that just surviving was a noble fight. I once believed in causes too. I had my pointless point of view. But life went on no matter who was wrong or right."

That doesn't mean to give up. It doesn't mean to not have principles. It just means stop acting like the world's going to end if this thing or that doesn't go your way. Life goes on. Enjoy it.

If one team does it they all will, it's the Drew Brees effect. No one will want to take the heat if they don't. But is would be a wasted gesture.

To me it's "hey cops are killing us."

Most killed are doing nefarious things putting themselves & those around them in a bad situation. Not saying it's ok to kill them but there are two sides to feeling your life threatened, the cops & the victims. You hardly see a cop kill innocent bystanders.

Anyway let the heroes miss a few checks, they can't compete with the owners pockets. Have someone take their place & they will come running back.

One of the first steps to procuring change is to take the profiteering out of the justice system. Do prisons need to be for profit? If so they need prisoners. Go back to taxpayers civil duty w/o the push to make $$$ .
