So, I took my SUV in to the local Pep Boys for a LOF and tire rotation. I have a Steeler decal on the back window (who doesn't?) when I picked it up, the sales manager asked, "Guess who my favorite Steeler of all time is?" I said, "I don't know. Joe Greene?" He said, "No, Neil O'donnell" I looked at him like he was from another planet and said, " You said the name of he who shall not be mentioned." Then he told me he was a lifelong Cowboy fan and said the Cowboys, and especially, Larry Brown thank the Steelers!
He did give me a 10% discount on the service though!

    HA HA! Good Story.

I got much love for Neil O'donnell, that five wide shotgun set-up they had was killer.

Missed one. A starting wide receiver with zero TDs. I actually knew them without looking it up. I did doubt check it though.

It was Charles Johnson. He was injured and did not play in the Super Bowl. Holliday did take his place. I did not remember Andre Hastings having 15 targets in that game and Ernie Mills 9. So you are correct after all.

That's a good one! I don't think the guy was old enough to remember that play though.

    haha

My response would've been "yeah, that's pretty much the last QB to have won you a meaningful game..."

I was just shocked to run into someone that would admit to being a Cowboy fan! I didn't know they existed in my town!

You better check and make sure he didn't use those infamous pre-bent cotter pins when he zipped your car back up. :roflmao:

I have a deep confession I have held locked away for 23 years as an agonizing weight on my soul...

Neil O'Donnell was my favorite Steelers player growing up

I'm not proud of this and my friends all told me I was crazy but I kinda took pity on him that nobody liked him so I became his cheering section.

O'Donnel was incredibly underrated which makes the SB loss that much more painful. The Cowboys were major favorites to win that game and the whole team was greatly prepared and played an outstanding game. The 2 horrible picks ended a great season that most of us would rather forget.

As for the car service. Be thankful your tires haven't fallen off yet. I would have re-torqued the lug nuts right there on sight in front of the Cowboy fan.

Lucky for me, he didn't do the actual work! I'm gonna remember that Jackie Smith thing if I ever go back there!

I have a little story about Jackie Smith and a big time Cowgirl fan who was a coworker. We were in training away from the plant and it was lunch time. I noticed there was a VCR player/TV combo in the classroom. The next day I plugged it in and had the Jackie Smith drop cued up. When he walked in just before lunch time was over and the teacher was not in yet, I seized the chance to fire it up.

This guy never got angry with me in his life, but what a heated curse out I got from him! LOL.

The picks were the nail in the coffin.

To me though, that Dallas offensive line just swallowed up our defense... it wound up being too much. Our defense was tired at the end.
