George Romero died from lung cancer. I've never personally been a zombie fan myself but man there's no denying the guy had an impact on the horror genre that will never be forgotten.

RIP George. He created a genre, and his movies were a blast. :zombie::zwin::zombat:

About 12 of my college buddies and buddettes jammed into my roommate's Econoline hippy van probably fall of 1970 and went to an all night drive-in spook-a-thon and that's the first time any of us had seen the original NOTLD - scariest flick I ever saw - needless to say - many a NOTLD-esque pranks pulled in the dorms the next several nights. And being the only one of the group from Pgh, they couldn't believe I knew who Chilly Billy Cardille was. What a trip. Thanks for the scares George - you and Bill Castle were originals for sure.
