I don't consider fighting a big thing. People get heated in stressful times, and sometimes with their own teammates, it happens, all the way down to Jr High, but being late for organizational activities, games, no work ethic, and a bad attitude.....can't have that.

Agree. I have never seen DJ take a play off. He traveled backwards quite a bit but he always gave 100%. AB was a fantastic knucklehead but he also gave 100%. George Pickens is an extremely talented mental midget who gives half an effort.

One time DJ didn't go after a fumble that was a bad look for him.

That was the only instants I can think of. I can name more from Pickens in one game, or before a game, or after a game. LoL Of course I'm exaggerating a bit.

He managed to deal with Roethlisberger and got a Brown through a six-year stretch when he was the best receiver in the NFL, so he hasn't always failed at it.

Funny how the Steelers suddenly started leaking bad stories about Pickens just as they traded him without getting much in return. Hmmmmm

This is a tired narrative. First off, a third round pick is not "pennies on the dollar." Second, do you have anything substantive that shows that the stories aren't genuine, or that the org is voluntarily reaching out to media to "leak" them?

Also, since you often criticize them whenever they trade a problem child, when is the last time they did so and the player became a productive member of the team that traded for him?

    Occam's razor.

The Steelers usually pay up to cap limit. Something most
Other teams do not. This is stupid argument brought up
All the time by uninformed people.

I heard the same when the stories about DJ were leaked and then he proceeded to burn through three teams in a single season.

There is nothing substantive to prove the stories are true, either, but it is certainly fair to doubt them. Teams lie, such as the Steelers did when saying positive things about Shedeur Sanders before the draft. We know this. It's part of the game, but we should know that when we think critically about such stories. Who has something to gain from these leaks? The team. Do the Steelers have a history of lying when it suits them? Yes, they do.

Spending a first-rounder on Pickett, then giving him away for next to nothing just two years later, made them look bad. Leaks that put the negativity on Pickett quickly followed. Giving Pickens away so cheaply makes them look bad. Leaks that put the negativity on Pickens quickly followed. See why I have doubts? I get why they would do it, but that makes me question the validity of these stories. They might be true, but they seem dubious at best.

Pennies on the dollar may be hyperbole, but it is minimal value, especially given the likelihood they could have had another year of his production and a comp pick, and now they just have a gaping hole a receiver and a trade that wasn't worth it.

I find the defense of the team in these situations to be a tired narrative, but I respect your decision to see it that way.

Would you prefer they leaked them before they traded him? Maybe they would have gotten a 7th round pick then.

They don't have to leak them at all, but how do we determine if someone is lying? Do they have a history of lying? Yes, the Steelers have that. Do they have something to gain by lying? Yes, they soften the hit they are taking with the fans. That is enough reason to call the validity of the leaks into question.

He's an immature guy lashing out at the team that traded him. I'm sure he is embarrassed by how little they got for him. I wouldn't expect him to apply logic to the situation.

We will see with the times if the steelers were right to trade Pickens but they were right on players like Martavis,AB,Diontae Johnson....
