Trading him for a roast beef sandwich would have been good

Coming from the laziest and, judging by his quote, perhaps the most ignorant player the Steelers had, I don't think the organization's brass will lose any sleep over this.

As far the Organization being Cheap, I think the Steelers always rank as one of the Cheapest Organizations in the league for their facilities and how they treat their players and families, on the end of year Team Report Cards.

What would have happened if you brought home this report Card: Old School would mean you were getting an ASS Spanking;

I still find it impossible to believe that the Steelers did not fire anyone over these grades. Being Cheap, the Steelers brought everyone back that was still under contract rather than firing them and having to pay them to go away.

Nobody did that, but how is this a surprise? Pickens is immature. Of course he was going to rip the team for trading him at some point. It still doesn’t fix the team’s problems at receiver or that they traded a malcontent for pennies on the dollar again. I thought working with players was supposed to be a strength for Tomlin. Now he just gives up, weakening the team’s talent level.

 

Does his pea brain not realize that to make this assessment he would have to have been on all 32 teams? How did the Steelers draft such a bozo?

I mean, they are cheap and we've been talking about it in this group for years.

They keep getting ranked low on the facilities by current players and visiting players. There were several posts on here about Hard Knocks and how much better the facilities looked than the Steelers facilities.

Refusal to actually hire assistants to do what other teams are doing during the week and on gameday.

He's also not the first to leave and comment on that, so I don't get the outrage. He apparently didn't want to leave and that was his first statement about wanting to see it through in Pittsburgh, but we don't get that as a thread.
