He's 32, he's not that old, and we don't have to give him a long term deal. Relax, it's just a suggestion. Brackett is pretty good, and there's no denying that we need another ILB to step up to the plate. If we don't draft one in the 1st round, then we should consider signing someone from FA.

Yup. Every player that gets cut should be signed by us.

    :frustrated:

Just as old as the "this guy is cut let's sign him" is the jokes that go along with it. Maybe these threads would stop if the people who didn't like them, just didn't post in those threads.

Let me throw this out. Assuming we drafted Hightower as the ILB of the future, would you rather have:

    Foote and Hightower

    Bracket and Hightower

The scenario I would like to think about is CUTTING Foote in order to sign Brackett. And before you say, one old guy for another, they both are 31 and will be 32 by the time the season starts. Brackett is about 1 month older than Foote.

IMO, Brackett is a better player than Foote, if this fits the cap....I think you consider doing it.

Brandon Jacobs is a big back that can beat off defenders; nuff said.

Not interested in Brackett he's not a Steelers type of lb too small 5'11 and 230 not big enough for a 3/4 defense.

I agree with you on one point.Brackett is a better ILB then Foote but not for this team.It take a free agent a year or two to get familiar with our defense.Foote is already there so I would go with foote for another season.Sly or no other ILB has shown me that they are ready to take that spot.
