I posted this in the Introductions and Welcome forum, but thought this one might get more views quickly as the game is Sunday... moderators, feel free to move and sorry for the confusion!

Hi folks - been reading the posts for years now and actually joined years ago, but never posted anything. I am taking my son to his first game on Sunday, 12/19. We're wondering what kind of pre-game things there are to do once in the stadium. I know gates open 2 hrs before kickoff, but are there players around to get autographs or pictures with, etc.? Or do we basically go in and find our seats and that's it? Trying to determine if it is worth getting there really early or just wait until closer to kickoff. Any other game I've gone to I tailgated with friends and never made it in the stadium early enough to know what happened. Thanks!

Need to get advice from a local. Nevertheless, have a good time with your son.

U can see the hall of honor or walk in stores. You can watch the teams warmup and I would not count on autographs or pictures unless its pics of them warming up. Other yrs they would have a band though still not great in my opinion. They didnt have that when i went to bears game this year though. If you arent tailgating with others you could always go to stage ae which is a steelers tailgate. The beers were not overly expensive. They have cornhole, decent bathrooms, and food and its never been too crowded. They have various acts(music, steelers pope, etc) performing on the stage.

That said I do like being in the stadium and watching them warm up.

So far I’ve just played the drinking game up until kickoff when I’ve been there. Sometimes they have some of the OG’s speaking there. Some of the players will autograph when they come out prior to team warm ups

You can go in early and there is plenty to do but you won't get any autographs. Visiting the Great Hall is great especially if you want to teach your son some history.

When I was a young man going to games, I loved to get close to the field so I could see
the players warming up. Believe TV does no justice to just how big these men are to a 12 year old kid.
As other posters stated all good things to do at stadium. You're in the mecca of the NFL. We love our Steelers.
    Have fun and be safe.

Thanks folks. Should be a fun day no matter what we see/do. For those going to the game, see you there (though I literally have no idea who you are, so a virtual high five to you all)!

There are a few members going to the game. Little too late to set up a hook up but one will have a Lambert jersey on and he is a self described old ugly guy, the other a Watt jersey. You should spot them easy.:lolol::lolol::lolol:

Enjoy the game and PLEASE bring home a winner.

Didn’t they change that around this year?
