    sorry for your loss.
    9 sacks allowed ouch.
on the bright side your team is still in 1st place in the division.
add the fact that there is a ton of low hanging fruit your conference to stack up wins this year.

NC had only 17 sacks last season! They got over half last night in one game! Way to early to panic. Hopefully they make adjustments on offensive line and on defense.

With all the conference changes and schools jumping around, do YOU wish SC would move to the ACC? I understand the 'conference hierarchy' especially when it comes to football, I only ask YOUR opinion. I have always felt SC is an ACC school over being an SEC school. Just seems to fit them better. Their bigger rivals are in the ACC. Even East Carolina seems to be a bigger rival than other SEC schools to me. What is your thought?

Thats been tossed around here n there. Long ago I believe SC was in ACC.
They remain in SEC hoping to improve program by getting better recruiting, which it has happened in the past, Clowney, Lattimore etc.
We have our rivalries, GA Tenn etc… and sometimes we win, lol.
Very good question though. Yes our biggest rival is not only in our state but is also in the ACC, Clemson!

The ACC has that long contract with ESPN and the payment to get out of the conference is staggering, yet at least 2 schools are at least voicing wanting to get out, Fl State and Clemson. The ACC inviting SMU, Cal, and Stanford is probably the stupidest thing yet. I get wanting to be in TX and CA for recruiting, they really are not going to get much out of it, I mean everyone is just dying to see Wake Forest and Cal play???? lol

The networks control a lot of this, but when the 12 game PO starts I think we are going to see more shifting, likely to a 60-80 teams styled in an NFL format. Some schools are going to be left out, but that is when others like South Carolina can make a move, if Fl State joins the Big 10. Clemson the Sec or some other thing, SC could actually benefit the ACC, and they them.

To me, it seems an awful like when southerners(me) rush out to buy milk and bread because the weatherman threatened a chance of snow. Schools are acting out of panic almost. If they don't move now, they will get left out state of mind. With the SEC and the BIG10 making power grabs, if SC was going to make a move to the ACC now makes sense to me. BUT, if FSU and Clem are trying to leave, maybe that's not a move SC wants.

I see the landscape of college football is and has been SEC vs BIG10 for a few years now. With them eliminating conference championship games it may become even moreso. Further, if Clemson and FSU move into the SEC/BIG10, it very much becomes a 2 conference landscape. Even if they expand the playoff to 16 schools, how many of those will be SEC/BIG10 just by national rankings?

Other than the schools play each other every year, I don't feel that UT, Florida, Vandy, KY, Mizzou, or UGA have the same rivalry fervor for SC as Clemson, Miami, FSU, and even UNC last night. BUT, as is usually true, what makes sense to me isn't always what makes sense.

I truly believe kids have a choice to be

An educated athlete with a degree from an ACC school

or just another student hung out to dry from the SEC and Big10

It always goes with the money. Asking a kid to decide between going to class for an education for a chance at a job making top money, OR go get big NIL money now, plus booster money on the side, plus a better than average chance of getting drafted into the NFL. I wonder which one these kids will most likely choose.

We aren't talking about your highschool benchwarmers, these are the kids that have been told their entire childhoods how special they are and how they are supposed to be the star. There are already college freshmen making millions in NIL deals. That trumps an engineering degree for these kids.

I'm not trying to make this as negative as it reads. I'm just offering how I honestly see this. Athletics equals generation changing money for most families. Education CAN be a bump/boost but it's typically status quo.

Hell. It's a simple thing as
Would you rather play your sport at a college where it is warm, close to the ocean or gulf and the co-eds are dressed appropriately,
or sit your dumbass in Columbus, Ann Arbor, State College, Lansing, yada yada

I think it's hilarious that Cal and Stanford are joining the Atlantic Coast Conference. Their athletic budget now is going to cost them more than a few programs I'm thinking. I wonder if Mr. Woods will pitch in to help out the golf program.

Winning championships doesn't pay the bills. Boosters and donations pay the bills. Talking athletics only. Some schools are state funded, I think Cal is state funded. But I think Stanford is private so no state funding, yet they received over $1Billion in donations due to their affiliation with Packard Children's Hospital.

The swim/golf/track/lacrosse/quidditch teams are not building facilities on campuses.

Sorry ....I don't agree. My Brother, and I laughed at one of our SC fans last night when he said the same. Then I rewound some plays, and showed times He had plenty of time ,but just didn't know what to do. He processes very slowly. It's why OK didn't want him.

I will be looking for You during the national championship game. LoL Only one of these games were against a ranked opponent. LoL. It would be like putting Georgia against Rutgers. LoL
It's ok....this is the only time other conferences have so they can gloat.....because We know they go into hiding at the end of the year every season. LoL
