    #1 Disrespect the bad teams
#2 Lets do what they never expect - because of #1.

Look back at our past losses against horrible teams. Today we came out running and stuck with it. We go for it on 4th down with an easy 3 points looking right at us. Mike Tomlin's decision " lets go for it! they'll never expect that!" - 3 points was the difference in the game.

"We have the best passing offense in the NFL and we're playing the Raven's with a walk on QB! Coach Mike what do we do? Mike - "I know the perfect game plan... lets just run the ball! Lets keep this one close. They'll never expect it! " Before you laugh - this is seriously what we have done in past games against really bad teams. We ignore logic. We ignore our strengths. We do what is out of the norm. All we did was allow the Raven's stick around, took unnecessary gambles, and mismanaged the clock to another loss.

Against good teams we do the opposite. We go with our strengths and we try to get early leads. WTF are you not trying to get an early lead on the Ravens by throwing the ball? Tomlin's answer " we're taking what they are giving us" Uh coach you have the best QB in the NFL...you average 30+ points with him throwing the ball!"

BTW 2 losses can be directly attributed to Tomlin's management of kickers by not taking the easy 3 points. And I'm not even talking about the trade or sticking with he horrible kicker we had early in the season. Clock management also played a big part in 1-2 losses. Game plan against bad teams have haunted us for 5 years.

Blah blah blah the same tired takes, the team isn't good enough on defense when they lose the turnover battle.

So we're not good enough to beat the Ravens twice this season? And all those other loses against last place teams was due to bad players?

You don't go 10-6 and lose to the Ravens. Same story over the past 5 years.

Also should remind you if we challenge that brown catch on 3rd and 16 we probably win. Refs called it no catch and we don't challenge. Along with going for it on 4th instead of taking points. Mismanaged clock. These are all signs of incompetence from your HC.

Umm D Will averaged 5.9 YPC and Roethlisberger averaged 6.3 YPA.

Not sure how being able to run the ball hurt the Steelers.

Steelers abandoned the run in the 2nd half anyways.

I think it is crazy when Steelers fans want to throw the ball every play. No team identity.

I want to see some balance on offense and more third and shorts.

If this were a rare occurrence, then it's not a coaching thing.

This isn't a rare occurrence. It's habitual. So, yes, it is on the HC who can't get his team to be mentally prepared to play.

Maybe they should have run it more. Williams was the only effective offensive player. He didn't fumble. Ben threw 1 INT and another that he was lucky the Ravens were offsides (because it had nothing to do with the play).

    Ben threw 2
and got lucky on the one called back or it would be 3 and a dagger which could have saved me a few minutes mixing a drink instead of watching some crap play calling later

The Rooney's disagree with you, they gave the HC a contract extension thru 2018. The same story in these losses is the franchise QB throwing multiple ints.

Also in addition to what you stated, this very frustrated Steeler fan has just about had enough of the Steeler defensive philosophy. Year after year they just don't compete & they obviously do this on purpose. 10 yards off the line of scrimmage, even on short yardage downs, & still letting receivers run right by them. Instead of playing zones to occupy empty spaces, how about playing the passing lanes sometimes to jump routes?? What makes it worse is nobody wants to tackle after they let receivers catch balls. Ben wasting timeouts in the 3rd quarter again so that we don't have any to use in the 4th, this happens all too often, the Tom Bradys don't do this. Empty backfield at the 1 yard line on 1st & goal, telegraphing your gonna throw the ball?? I have just about had enough of Mike Tomlin & the rest of his inept coaches. Year after year he find a way to choke, if he doesn't get fired he'll find another way to not make the playoffs next year too...

Tell that to Carolina and Seattle. It is almost as if being top 5 in rushing and top 5 in defense is a recipe for success. Arizona is 6th in rushing and 5th in defense. They aren't bad.

*Pretty sure you were being sarcastic
