Game Day 3rd string RB??? Heyward or Smith?

So, for the Lions game 3rd string RB Kaleb Johnson was a healthy scratch leaving only Warren and Gainwell available at RB. Crazy to see both RBs out there on Kickoffs with no other RBs on the roster.

If one of the RBs would go down with an injury, who do you think would get the carries as RB #2? I have seen both Smith and Heyward line up in the RB position this year.

2024 3rd round pick Roman Wilson was a healthy scratch.

 

I don't think they will do that every week going with only 3 active RBs.

 

It appears that Smith is our 3rd option. It kinda makes sense. We’ve given Johnson enough opportunities to try to do something and he’s been really bad. Gonna just have to get through the season with him in reserve and bring in some competition for him in camp next season. I could honestly see him getting cut if he doesn’t show some improvement. Too easy to find good backs to hold out hope on one that isn’t good.
