For those of us that have DirecTV and have for the past 2 weeks missed the first quarter of the games because of the 1PM games going into OT, this is the response I received from the local CBS channel:

CBS reserves the right to show the ending of an earlier game before joining the scheduled late game in progress. This is beyond the choice of the local affiliate.

You can contact CBS directly by e-mailing audsvcs@cbs.com or by calling 212-975-3247.

Here's the problem I have with that: they weren't showing the end of the earlier game. They were cutting to other games that weren't scheduled to be broadcast in our markets.

I understand when it's in line with 'The Heidi Rule' (look it up if you're unfamiliar; see: Raiders/Jets). But I didn't watch three hours of KC/NO and then understand they wouldn't cut over until it was finished. I was stuck with Cleveland/Buffalo and then, when that ended, was forcefed the ending of multiple other games I had no interest in watching that conflicted with the scheduled program supplied to me by my provider.

If people want to watch the ends of crappy games, they can watch the NFL Red Zone.

    This needs to be fixed.
