I remember that play. I pointed out to a friend on the replay and I said the exact same thing. With some awareness, he will be a sack machine and backfield disrupter.

Moye was on the practice squad. The two are unrelated.

Game ball to the defense and the punting unit. Wing kept pinning the Texans back and the defense kept taking the ball away, produced some 3-and-outs, and mostly kept the Texans from scoring after their initial 13 point effort. Between these two units, the Steelers were able to both maintain a lead in the battle for field position and provide short fields for the offense to work with. Also, the defense managed to contain Foster... eventually. And, of course, they forced 3 turnovers.

I'm proud that the offense scored 3 TDs. But I also noticed they didn't score a TD in the second half. Without the defense providing short fields I'm not sure the offense could have come through. The one exception is the Brown TD that was reversed. That was pure BS. But I do believe they drove the entire field, on that possession. So, that is a positive.

That being said... special mention to Todd Haley, the O-Line, and Ben for neutralizing JJ Watt.

Another special mention to the offense for red zone scoring. I think they managed two scores from the red zone: 1) Trick play; fake reverse by Brown which became a TD pass from Brown to Lance Moore, and 2) Ben to Bell.

Again... special mention to Bryant for his first catch and first TD catch all in one. And that was a beautiful throw by Ben.

All in all, there were a lot of positives in all phases. I hope this energizes the team to go all out against the Colts. They're going to need everything they did last night, and then some... The team seems to be aware they can do more and be better. Their comments say as much. Here's hoping they hit practice this week and take it to that next level.

They looked like the Steelers, last night. How sweet it is!

let's hope we have found a distruptive nose we desperately need .. i'm tired to look in the draft a project that would fit the bill

Yeah, drafting has been hit-and-miss, lately. Let's hope this guy is proof of a turnaround.

The chickensh*t award goes to Ben and/or Mike Tomlin for wimping out on 4th and less than a foot.

Ah, gotcha. Although he did tip it to create that but the bounce was pure luck.

I'd forgotten about Wing - he was a big contributor, though, to be sure. More of this kind of thing, please.

It was part of the roster move last week. Moye out Ventrone in.

No. Ventrone was promoted to the 53 when Wes Johnson was waived from the active roster. The practice squad moves came days later. So, you should thank Wesley Johnson.

He doesn't know what he is doing yet, that was obvious. But you can still be disruptive without always knowing what you are 100% supposed to be doing. That is a good thing.

Was the key letting Antonio Brown throw the ball instead? :hmmm:

First TD was Ben to Bryant from outside the RZ. First RZ TD was Brown to Moore.

Ben doesn't suck. I believe Thigpen's reply was meant to suggest that since Brown was heavily involved with the first RZ TD that perhaps it is he who found the key to it.
