Glad someone mentioned this. Ben definitely deserves the game ball for a career game. But, keep your eye on DeCastro. This kid is GOOD. I saw him made some great blocks today.

Everyone is talking about the poor run game but there were some ugly telegraphed run plays, some porrly set up run plays where the Lions had it sniffed out and just some solid play by a defense. WHen they went no huddle and had four wide and then handed the ball to Bell he had solid runs. The line blocked well.

    Decastro is coming along fine,
has been and will be going forward
the least of our worries. I am perplexed of how this game went down,I am not sure what I saw? A W is W and that's all that counts.
I think we WANTED it more than the Lions.Ben R and AB deserve
game ball in what truly was a WEIRD game?

I might also throw Sam Martin into the mix.

    Poor kid.

I've been critical of some of Tomlin's coaching methodologies, but you're right, strummer, he does seem to be keeping the team from falling apart. I'll wait until the end of the season to fully evaluate his performance but he certainly seems to be going in the right direction.

Wow...I wish I had about ten game balls to give out! Ben, for sure, gets one! AB also and even Cotchery and Heath had good games. The OL, especially DD against Suh, did a great job! The D gets one for making the adjustment against Calvin Johnson in the second half. And, even, the coaching staff gets one for this game!:yeehaw:

I will admit that I was knocking Ben in another thread even though I am huge fan of his. He definitely gets the game ball today. What impressed me most about Ben during the game was his ability to feel pressure and step away from it. The couple of times he stepped forward and made some great throws were a thing of beauty. I truly hope he can keep that up. Seems like it takes a huge amount of pressure off the line when Ben can step up in the pocket instead of running side to side trying to buy time.

You know how if you gave infinite monkeys infinite typewriters with infinite amounts of time, they would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare?

I kind of feel that's how we've been with the o-line. Shuffle, re-shuffle, injury shuffle, re-shuffle... so maybe by some random freak of fortune this week we finally shuffled it into a good line?
