Shhhhh their are some who like this and think no losing seasons (personally the 8-8 BS to me is moot) are the standard. Yay we just got torched in the playoffs again, but not a losing season

As far as Jackson is concerned hopefully he brings some discipline to the group, especially Chase "I'm full of myself" Claypool. This sure was lacking under Hillard.

I have no who this guy is, but likely when Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher. Tony Dungy, and a multitude of other legendary coaches started their careers no one knew who they were either. Being a star player does not make you a good coach.

I don't know squat about WR coaches and even less about being an owner or a GM but I do recognize compassion and to me its clear that doesn't get passed down generational

Just supports the belief that experienced / talented coaches do not want to coach for Tomlin.

I've read more than a few articles about the low level of coaching in Pittsburgh the past few years. We had a WR coaching legend . After he passed away the WR play dropped off dramatically. Maybe this guy is an up an comer w/ serious talent? Maybe he has a long list of great WR's that he helped developed? We shall see but it sure looks like every other coach Tomlin has hired since Haley and Munchak left. Maybe MT is after coaches that won't quit for better jobs?

Joe Greene may have been the best DT ever. He was not a good coach.

Getting the correct personnel will help equally so. That said, can they do that in this draft? Still need a Receiver with "DEFCON I" ability and Calvin Austin III is the best one in the class; Jameson Williams being the close second sadly due to that injury.

    This.

Many Star Level or even HOF Level Players do not turn out so well for NFL Coaching overall and never mind Head Coaches. Only one that ever did turn out pretty well was Mike Ditka. Beyond him.... quite a list of misses for Head Coaches. As for Positional Coaches??... Dick LeBeau, Mike Munchak and others but again... not a lot of success there either.

I know there are exceptions. Ditka, was a great player and coached the Bears ti a,SB win. Then proved he was exceptionally stupid by trading all his draft picks for a dope smoking RB
