    We don’t really know how tough the schedules going to be yet. That’s all based off how the opposing teams were last year. No guarantee they’re good or as bad.

    I'm not so sure the early part of the schedule is easy. Among the first six games, the Steelers play the Bills, Packers, and Seahawks.

    Regarding the end of the season, does Ravens twice, Browns, Chiefs, Titans, and Vikings sound easy to you? (Obviously, that's not in the order on the schedule.) Which of those teams is going to falter?

    Been telling you guys if Pat keeps himself fairly healthy. This is the best TE we have had since Heath Miller.

    at the same time though the division faces some tough competition that first month too. Browns and Ravens play the Chiefs weeks 1 and 2

    You just missed the 2016 NFL Draft where people wanted Colbert gone for that. Artie Burns was the very least of the teams issues during that draft.

    Have to disagree with you on that one, 1st rd bust. Overall, bad draft but Burns was the worst of it.

    If you got fantasy points for dropped balls Ebron would be a first round pick.

    Colbert had one of the greatest decades of 1st round drafting I've ever seen in the 2000s. Hitting one. Few dudes in the first after that was inevitable.

    2000 = Plaxico (Pro Bowl Receiver)
    2001 = Big Snack (Best NT I've ever seen, sorry Joel Steed and Joe Klecko)
    2002 = Kendall Simmons (was great until he had to retire to health issues not involving injuries)
    2003 = Troy (HOF)
    2004 = Big Ben (HOF to be)
    2005 = Heath Miller (Greatest TE in team history)
    2006 = Santonio Holmes (SB MVP)
    2007 = Lawrence Timmons (Pro Bowl LB)
    2008 = Mendenhall (Beast until his mind checked out)
    2009 = Ziggy (First semi-bust, servicable)
    2010 = Pouncey (Best Center in the NFL for 3 or 4 years)
    2011 = Cam Hey (Pro Bowl DT)
    2012 = David DeCastro (Pro Bowl OL)
    2013 = Jarvis Jones (First undenable bust)
    2014 = Ryan Shazier (Sigh, this one hurt)

    I'll stop there......Colbert didn't get his first bona-fide bust until his 14th draft as "GM". That's pretty impressive.

    Colbert has selected all time steeler greats in a decade+. He's done his job. Even the busts he's had the last few years were every other year with studs he drafted.

    There should be no issue with Colbert. Tomlin's main issue is Preparation. That's it. He has the temperament, the respect from his players, plays the media well, etc. The issue is he doesn't have his team prepared game in and game out. And that is a major flaw that always bits you in the are in the important times.

    If Tomlin's issues are preparation, why is it that he is second only to that hooded guy since 2007? Acquiring talent is one aspect. Cultivating and coaching it is another.

    The New York Jets are a prime example of how to waste talent.

    Steelers wasted several years with All Pro talent at WR and RB.... along with a future HOF QB.

    The New York Jets have been doing that since 2007; wasting talent and wasting years.

    Regarding the "wasted years" of the Steelers, me and you have been doing this since 2016. I really have no other ways of putting what the rebuttal has been. For more on this though, read who made my list at 5 on the Top Ten Steelers of All Time and what the team was in the aftermath of his retirement.

    That is not entirely accurate about the Jets.

    Jets went to 2 AFC Championships in '09 and '10. Mark Sanchez as Jet QB has more playoff wins than Ben has since XLV. Jets had a good team with Rex Ryan as HC. They upset the Patriots in 2010 divisional round playoffs, making it possible for Steelers to reach the Super Bowl.

    You said since 2007. 2011 would be more accurate.

    Sure did. You said during 2009 and 2010 as well. Since 2007 refers to 2007 and years after the fact; not a cutoff year of ones choosing.

    Again, what happened to the Jets after 2010?

    He needs to be a red zone machine like the preseason. Improving the red zone TD efficiency will be key for this team.
