Free Safety position

I would like to see Hilton get a real look at safety. I know he's small for the position, but he is a sure tackler with a nose for the ball.

I wouldn't write off Sutton at safety. Allen isn't going to be a prospect forever. At some point, he needs to be in the real mix at cornerback and that could allow Sutton to play safety.

They have a lot of moving parts in the secondary, some that offer some real versatility. I still think Hilton or Sutton could eventually be the answer at free safety if Davis continues to falter.

 

The shuffle is going on. Anyone else concerned about Burnett? This injury history looms large. I know it's giving other guys chances but he also needs time on the field with all these moving parts.

 

I only saw today that I think he's missed four days now? So yes, slightly concerned.

to be fair a lot of this is precautionary bumps and bruises.

those ACL/MCL/groin/hamstring/bicep tears/pulls are the ones you watch out for.

Malik is getting in the mix. He should get a lot of reps this preseason. They seem to like this kid. He played pretty well last preseason before the injury. Maybe they have to find room to keep him. Time will tell.

Found out Tre Boston signed a 1 year/ 1.5mil offer with AZ. we heard the safety market was down,.. 1.5 is chump change. Just can't figure out why is wasn't looked at.

Berhe is talented but after injuries he became afraid to hit anyone. Doesn't play the position with enough instinct, so he is often a half step late.
